"iMovie - the poor man's Final Cut Pro"

What do you like best about iMovie? iMovie is easy to use and comes with your mac. No extra money required. Exporting movies is also a breeze with it's share button. Lots of filter and title card options. Can make projects quickly that look like they took effort. What do you dislike about iMovie? Editing audio is a major pain in iMovie. For the most part I will carry audio into protools, edit it there then bounce an edited wav into imovie for even the simplest of cuts. iMovie is best for ...

"User Friendly iMovie"

What do you like best about iMovie? iMovie is very user friendly. It can be easily figured out by people with little knowledge of the program. iMovie has a great variety of templates for "trailers." I have used the templates for memorial picture shows. It appears you have spent much more time on your videos than you have. What do you dislike about iMovie? While this is great product for beginner to intermediate users it is till limited in the video effect options. More advance users may ...

"Simple, intuitive"

What do you like best about iMovie? It is a very simple program, in the Apple style. Allows you to trim clips, slow down and speed up, and there are a dozen filters that allow you to customize the video. Moreover, there are ready-made presets that allow, inserting clips and text in the appropriate spaces, to create a subspecies of the trailer with mid-level digital effects, excellent for telling a trip with cats or family, or small presentations unpretentious. The connection was with iTunes ...

"Basic Video Editting"

What do you like best about iMovie? I am not experienced with video at all. I can somehow get by using iMovie. I like that you can add clips together somewhat easily. I usually use this when I want to add a logo to the video or music overlay. What do you dislike about iMovie? There's not much I know about iMovie other than the basics. Based on the way I use it, there isn't much I dislike. I suppose I would make it a little easier to use and change the settings of the music curve - sometimes ...

"Doesn't always work as well as I would like on my ipad."

What do you like best about iMovie? This is a great tool for quick and easy editing. Great tutorials available! What do you dislike about iMovie? I run across quite a few hiccups when using - which of course is very frustrating. Mostly this is in regard to dragging, placing or cutting. It sometimes takes a few "swipes" to get things in the right places. Recommendations to others considering iMovie: Great tool for getting something completed quickly and being able to use the media on your ...
