"Fantastic video editing software for beginners"

What do you like best about iMovie? The most helpful aspect about iMovie is that it is very easy to work with. It has a good number of features and the templates in the menu help you a lot, especially of you’ve never had previous experience with video editing softwares. I really appreciate the video speed section, which allows to create amazing effects in a very simple way. What do you dislike about iMovie? The color correction section is very limited; there are not so many video ...

"Create videos easily with iMovie"

What do you like best about iMovie? Simple editing features, ability to add my own music and easy export of final video. What do you dislike about iMovie? It’s a bit finicky when it comes to adding my own music if it’s not already in my iTunes library. What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you? I can quickly create my own videos from clips shot on iPhone, or from my mirror less camera. I can synchronize my cuts and transitions to the music.

By far iMovie is the best video editor I have ever used

PROS: It helps me turn raw footage into extraordinary looking videos with titles and music. And I can do that without having to work with too many technicalities. It’s easy to explore the app and understand the function of each feature available. With this tool, there’s no doubt you could come up with beautiful and professional videos that will awe your friends and peers. CONS: I cannot layer various overlays more than a single clasp of video and it’s quite frustrating.

"Computer Hog"

What do you like best about iMovie? I am able to do a photo montage with music running behind it What do you dislike about iMovie? It takes up SO much available memory that it's hard to get anything else done while it's open Recommendations to others considering iMovie: Great depending on what you need it for. What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you? I needed to do a "flashy" end of year photo montage and it was the best/only program available to do so. It had great ...

Excellent tool for aspiring video editors

PROS: It is very easy to edit videos in this app. I just import the media I need and then add captions, transitions, and effects that I feel suits the video best. The app is also for free so there are actually no risks involve trying this out. CONS: It doesn’t have enough features for doing real post-production edits. The tools it offers are only good for doing basic editing like combining clips or trimming videos.

Its ease of use makes you an expert in video editing in just days

PROS: I just love its simplicity and ease of use. You can easily use it even if you are not skilled in editing or have no experience using a video editing software. And in case you are already proficient with editing, then using this tool to turn raw footages into something exemplary will be a piece of cake. Btw, I also love this app’s sleek design and ease of navigation. Also, it’s neither clutched nor crowded. CONS: I actually cannot think of any drawback right now. It’s good as it is. ...

"Very Simple Software to Use Regularly"

What do you like best about iMovie? I like how easy it is to use and I can produce multiple videos a day without having to navigate a ton of different tools. What do you dislike about iMovie? Sometimes it can be slow and I’ll have to quit iMovie altogether. This doesn’t happen a lot and when it does, it takes a minute to reboot and everything is saved. Recommendations to others considering iMovie: Super easy to use and still creates high-end videos. What problems is iMovie solving and how ...

"Easy, intuitive software for quick editing."

What do you like best about iMovie? The fact that this is bundled in with Macs (and iPhones) means I could start a boutique video editing business without investing in additional software. Sure, Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere come with all the bells and whistles, but iMovie completely satisfies my needs, allowing me to quickly splice clips together to form actor show reels. What do you dislike about iMovie? It perfectly serves its needs. It might not be the most advanced video software, ...

"Very easy to use to amateur users "

What do you like best about iMovie? Very simple but advanced features that could be used to edit the video. The interface is also very user-friendly. Kids and adults alike can use this program easily to edit videos. What do you dislike about iMovie? No very much to dislike but the option for 4K video is not available, some really advanced features that can be found in programs like Adobe premiere or final cut pro is not available but could be a really nice addition to the program.
