What do you like best? I like the fact that there is one Reporting Tool for all user roles, the improved Search capabilities, and the context sensitive functions. We are using 11.0.12. What do you dislike? The Dashboard Tool capabilities require improvement so that it is not necessary to use the Advanced Reporting Tool for formatting fonts, and complex user requirements like showing detail list reports along with Visualizations in a dashboard. Jack of all Trades

What do you like best? The Cognos Analytics suite provides a broad spectrum of functionality in a single package as opposed to having to use a large number of third party tools to supplement requirements. What do you dislike? The new UI is simply terrible paticularly in Reports Builder. There appears to be a complete disregard for the positioning of icons and duplication of functions. What do you like best? Powerful report development. Detailed customization options What do you dislike? Dynamic cubes are cumbersome to build/support. Don't have a good replacement for power play and transformer is no longer recieving enhancments What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Upgrading from Cognos 10 to Cognos Analytics 11

What do you like best? The new interface, dashboards. The shortcurt menus to to create reports. DQM. What do you dislike? The numerous features that were working in 10 did not work in version 11. What do you like best? Server Administration off-loaded to cloud support. No longer downtimes, server reboots, OS patching side effects. What do you dislike? Moving process from On-Premise instances is very cumbersome. Single signon to user browsers for non-ibm products hard to implement. What problems are you solving with the product?
