The marketing firm I work for uses Harvest to track time and bill our clients. It is easy!
What do you like best? I like how user friendly the platform is. It is very easy to use. I also like that it reminds me when I keep my timer running, and the budget setting feature for projects is huge! What do you dislike? The app on my phone sometimes lags; however, that is my only dislike of the software! Recommendations to others considering the product: Try it! You won't regret it. Everything you need and nothing you don't
What do you like best? Harvest has an easy reporting feature so you can track billable hours and categorize hours in real time. If you're using the forecasting tool it's easy to see who is over-resourced. Harvest integrates with most other management tools if you want to import your calendar or tasks. Quick and easy. What do you dislike? It's difficult to add a new bucket if you're not an administrator - you should be able to write in a new bucket that is pending approval or sends ...

Great Project Management/Billing Tool
What do you like best? For each project, you can add different team members and different tasks. It allows you to easily track which team members are performing which tasks and for how long. It makes billing a piece of cake! From a user perspective, it changes how you do work on a day-to-day life since you need to push a button each time you are performing a different task. This is a very easy learning curve, it just takes about 2 weeks to get into the habit (just like every other ...

What do you like best? The mobile app is a huge help. I like the desktop integration that allows you to start timers from the menu bar. What do you dislike? I can’t think of any downsides. I supposed things could always be less expensive. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? I love the reminders it provides if I leave a timer running. Harvest Works Well for Small, Busy Marketing Agency
What do you like best? I appreciate that Harvest has multiple paths to get to the same information, so that I can easily navigate from question to outcome based on whatever problem I'm trying to solve at the moment. For example, I can track time on a specific project and immediately create an invoice for that portion of time or alternatively, I can scan that portion of time for uninvoiced entries. I also appreciate the ability to autogenerate recurring retainer invoices and mark all time ...

Good Tool to Keep Track of Time
What do you like best? Harvest is easy to use and navigate through. I like that there is an app for my desktop that I can pull up and add things to/start timers without having to go on the website. What do you dislike? The numbers/time can be confusing. For example, instead of 30 minutes, you have to put .5, so tracking projects that take an odd amount of time can be hard to calculate. Recommendations to others considering the product: If you are managing a team, this is a ...

Great for collecting invoice data
What do you like best? It was easy to collect invoicing data. My company used this feature a lot to bill clients once an event was complete. I could easily go in and add line by line itemized costs and print or email them to clients directly. What do you dislike? Overall, Harvest filled my needs at the time. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? It was a great tool to collectively see how much time was put into each event. When ...

Time is money
What do you like best? The browser and desktop plug-ins make it very convenient and easy to use. The range of access levels make it efficient for setting multiple projects, clients, and teams across a large selection of staff. What do you dislike? There are a limited number of visualization tools available and the export function to excel is very basic. Recommendations to others considering the product: Consider free options first, but for a low cost option this is a great ...
