I use GitHub for my day-to-day work tasks.

PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? It's an astounding Git repository management platform. It's a flawless system with an excellent issue tracking structure. While it may not be their primary goal, it gives teams a chance to work together and create software from just about anywhere. I use it when working remotely. What aspects are problematic or could work better? I've yet to run into anything that I don't like. Aside from their pricing, their private repositories ...

GitHub offers great service for open source projects

PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? I’ve been using GitHub for so long and there are lot of things that I like about this tool like its simplicity, fast UI, wonderful community and lot of people to collaborate with on open source projects. With GH’s gist we are able to easily keep and share bits of code with this software. I simply love the integrations and webhooks that this tool offers. We are able to take a look between branches, commits, to pull requests, to rename ...

A review of GitHub.

PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? I use GitHub dail since it saves and keeps my projects organized. What aspects are problematic or could work better? It's hard to spot anything negative about GitHub. It's been in my system for the past several years now and I'm always looking forward to its new features. It's an ideal hosting platform for open source projects. But the issue here is the increasing number of projects that couldn't be maintained anymore (although ...

The main standard for today's internet version control.

PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? GitHub can easily pull in requests and is very easy to sue. It's a must-have for a distributed group. Internet-based diffs have been a big help. The platform is also intergrated in almost every major dev ops product. By using it, you have a drop-in integration for looking into CI and hosting tools in the market. What aspects are problematic or could work better? There's nothing to not like about GitHub. The only issue I encountered ...

GitHub is great tool even for those who do not have coding skills

PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? One of the best things I like about GitHub is the open source platform. This tool is for almost everyone, it doesn’t require coding-skills at all, and all you have to do is to get into the GitHub repo and to participate in some other ways. As a writer you may contribute to Wiki or other documentation. I have made similar contributions in the past by making some simple changes to HTML file. What aspects are problematic or could work ...

Top-notch code hub

PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? The special GitHub-workflow that implements using of "pull requests" which bring the code collaboration to the next level. What aspects are problematic or could work better? Wiki doesn't have the ability to define the pages' structure. What features/services would you like to see in future versions of this product? In general, everything is OK. What specific problems in your company were solved by this product? Collaborating on ...

I highly recommend GitHub for managing open source projects

PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? If you are working on Open Source projects then you should try GitHub because it offers everything you need. I like that it’s powered by Git and you can switch to any other system if you want to all you have to do is to add a new remote and push. In addition, the service is free but if you want to use it as internal code then you have to pay for it. And last but not least, there are huge amount of integrations, you’ll get ...

Great Open Source platform

PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? I like the simplicity of the Version Control and also it allows you to figure out the CLI and UI. The Open Source side is community based you may discuss with other users about the issues with code and even to solve some issues with their help. Also, I like that the private side is not visible for everyone and you can invite people to your projects. The API is robust and it provides lot of 3rd party apps and websites that work with it ...

Great for product owners and developers.

PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? I love all of GitHubs features. Not to mention their issue tracking and authorization functionality. They also offer free repo. We're able to create a static via gist and do web hosting through our own domain. GitHub is straightforward and simple to use. What aspects are problematic or could work better? GitHb is only restricted to having up to 5 private repos. I'm probably one of thew paid users who uses their repo while others ...

We use GitHub on a daily basis

PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? What I like most about GitHib is the free service for open source projects. There are lot of open source projects that are hosted there. It offers great set of features and social networking layer that simplifies the reviews, comments and documentations. The other good thing about this tool is the fact that it renders markdown. There are great features that I simply love using them like punching card and profiles for networking. What ...
