It’s the worst
Gimp really is a very bad program. I have been using it for years because I never wanted to spend money on photoshop or something you have to pay for. I think I will invest now though. Gimp is just frustrating. It can only do the very very basics and even that is super complicated. I have never (even with a lot of googling and youtube tutorial watching) achieved to create even nearly what I wanted to create. You can’t even delete parts of your picture without the program turning that part ...

The interface wasn't so bad
The interface wasn't so bad, and it took only 10 minutes of playing around before i finally found out how everything works. Resizing text can be quite painful. Probably better for large editing projects and not daily usage.

GIMP is the head of a totally original project.
What do you like best? I can't do a project without the help of GIMP, it has many tools that I like and help me develop my experience every day making extremely creative designs. Their templates are well defined and clearly created under a unique concept. Their support helps me to make everything work as it should. What do you dislike? I don't like that GIMP is a bit heavy, you need a good computer to work without any problem. Recommendations to others considering the product: ...

GIMP is a great alternative to Photoshop
What do you like best? It's free, works on windows, and other operating systems. It works great and is easy to use! A great alternative if you don't want to pay for Photoshop. What do you dislike? It's not quite as good as Photoshop but in my opinion it does almost just as good of a job. It's free so it honestly comes pretty close to Photoshop. Recommendations to others considering the product: If you're considering GIMP give it a try. You really can't go wrong with a free ...

Best alternative to Photoshop
What do you like best? The best part of GIMP is that its open source and has the features of photoshop. Before switching to Gimp, we're using photoshop which is quite expensive. When switched, I was surprised to see all tool sets in gimp. It's super lite and comes with all tools, effects and essentials one need to edit photos and create vectors. Also, one should speak about the performance it provides. It works well on 1gb ram powered pcs without any hassle and exports outputs without ...

Save Money by Investing a Little Extra Time & Effort
What do you like best? As a free resource, GIMP is fantastic. It has a tremendous number of tools and capabilities which would cost you a pretty penny elsewhere, and the user interface is clean and well organized. It does require a bit of a learning curve, whether you're transitioning from a similar program elsewhere, or whether you're brand new to the concept and learning from scratch. However, the investment of time and effort on the front-end, familiarizing yourself with the program ...

Very simple graphic editor.
What do you like best? This's a good illustration of what the community and free software ought to are like, an excellent example of just how great artists and developers mix into one huge department with lots of tools and models. It's really excellent program, often used, as well as the community must be much more commercialized. What do you dislike? It's significantly less user-friendly as some other image manipulation plans and also features a more learning curve. I likely would ...
