Great for a free tool
What do you like best? It's no Photoshop, but it's the best free tool I've found. Powerful and easy to use. What do you dislike? Images get overly compressed, especially when resizing images with text. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? GIMP is my go-to tool when I need something fast.

Best FREE photo editor
What do you like best? Obviously the most attractive thing about gimp out of the gate is that it is a free and open source software. For that reason I have been a dedicated Gimp user for over 10 years. I will say that aside from photoshop I have never found a more capable and affordable software to handle photo editing and graphic design. What do you dislike? The only frustrating factor to GIMP is that the general UI seems to be a little more complicated that Photoshop making the ...

Best free image editor
What do you like best? The fact that it's free and has a ton of capabilities What do you dislike? Not that crazy about the interface since I've been using Adobe Photoshop for almost 20 years What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Can run Gimp in any platform like Windows, macOS, Linux and it simply works. It's a great alternative to Photoshop but because the UI feels different there's a small learning curve

Great free editing tool!
What do you like best? Wide range of options and photo manipulation tools at no cost to the user. What do you dislike? The learning curve can be steep, but once learned it is a great tool to be able to use. Recommendations to others considering the product: Definitely worth at least trying before spending the time and money for a more expensive software that does the same thing. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Mostly anything I ...

What do you like best? GIMP has grown from a lowly open source program to a major powerhouse. It’s kow longer just a small program!!! What do you dislike? I just really admire the tenacity of this program!!! Recommendations to others considering the product: Love the animation plugin they've added.....look for that feature!!!! What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Because it is comparable to major photo editing programs, it has ...

Great Photoshop Alternative
What do you like best? To be honest, I really do not like GIMP from the beginning, but, since, sometimes emergencies and unexpected situations happen, and most of the time it happens, I am not at work nor at home. I still manage to find some pc to use but Photoshop is sometimes not available, so I had to resort with something. And here comes GIMP to the rescue. It is pretty amazing that a free graphic software is full of features and the user base is huge. Not that easy to use at first ...

The best tool
What do you like best? It is an excellent software to get started on the road to design and image enhancements, multi-platform and very powerful . There is a large community that helps beginner users to develop excellent work, YouTube is a specialized channel for this. What do you dislike? The graphical interface of gimp, being multiplatform is not very " user friendly " can improve a lot so that it is more intuitive, thus being able to facilitate tasks, which although the shortcuts ...

The best free Photoshop alternative
What do you like best? It's free! It does most of what you need Photoshop to do, but without paying anything for it. The install size is also smaller than its competitor. You're not limited to Windows either. You can install this on a Mac or even Linux. There are also ways to modify the layout of the program to make it feel more like Photoshop. What do you dislike? The names and locations o certain commands aren't the same as Photoshop. So if you're trying to go directly from one ...

Free and creates magic
What do you like best? It is free to download and has many special functions, almost the same as Photoshop or other products. So you can easily download it and create all your design materials you want. It is great even for people who have never done anything with design. Do you need to delete something from your photo? You can do it. What do you dislike? When I get a file prepared in Photoshop, it cannot read all layers and some functions do not work. Recommendations to others ...
