One of the best free photo editing software packages available

What do you like best? My favorite aspect about GIMP is undoubtedly the price. It is a free application very similar to Adobe's photoshop, and has many of the same features. I have used both free and paid photo editing software, and this is superior to all of the free alternatives, and is very competitive with the paid options. It has all of the basic tools you would need to create and edit content for a business, or personal use. It's extremely intuitive, and because it's such a well ...

Best free photo editor in the market

What do you like best? The best part about Gimp is undoubtedly that the application is free to use. It may not have the best interface or support, but Gimp offers something which none of the superior photo editing applications can in that it doesn't cost a penny to use. I tried Gimp on a whim trying to find a cheap application to edit and create content, and I will never look back. It can't really compete with the paid alternatives, but it is definitely the best free option in the market! ...

Gimp is a totally free software with really powerful functions

What do you like best? Gimp is totally free software and that's the main reason why I like it. Also because it has characteristics very similar to those of Photoshop. It has many functions not only for image editing as well as for digital design. Another feature that I like is that it has extensive documentation and online material to create designs and effects. In addition, it is possible to install it on different platforms such as Windows and Linux. What do you dislike? I have ...

Can't beat the price!

What do you like best? Gimp is open source and free. It's incredibly powerful with tons of tools for image editing. What do you dislike? I usually have to look up a help guide online to find how to do the things I want to do. It's not especially intuitive in that sense. That said, I don't come from a strong image editing background (I haven't used the full version of PhotoShop or Illustrator). Recommendations to others considering the product: Be sure to check out online user ...

Great alternative to Photoshop

What do you like best? GIMP gives you all the features you need to edit an image. Many options and good portability. What do you dislike? Some features are not easy to handle. The image copy/paste is quite difficult when done on a new layout page. Recommendations to others considering the product: This software needs good computer skills to use it What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? I was looking for a good alternative to ...

I LOVE GIMP!!

What do you like best? I've been using GIMP since a super techy friend turned me on to it when I wasn't able to afford Photoshop (yes, I like to pay for my software). This was back in 2007 and I had only used programs like COREL draw and MS paint. It was like stepping into a dream world where my creativity knew no bounds! And when I finally did get Adobe CS5, I was super familiar with the controls What do you dislike? The program will sometimes glitch out when I'm switching screens, ...

Gimp Review

What do you like best? It is free! Also it is similar to Photoshop. What do you dislike? Some things are not like photoshop and will need to be learned. Recommendations to others considering the product: It is not like photoshop in the sense that it edits photos much. It's main use is creation. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? I can do the same art and work I need that I would use in photoshop, and I am saving cash.
