My experience with GIMP

What do you like best? What I like most about GIMP is that it is a free use program. I mean, you don't need to pay for it. It has a lot of features like Photoshop, but the difference is that this program is entirely free to use. You can easily do an image retouching and editing, free-form drawing, converting between different image formats, and more specialized tasks. Finally, you can get a portable version. You can take GIMP with you on a simple USB and start wherever you want. What do ...

Great FREE Software

What do you like best? I use GIMP daily and it is my go to software for editing, adjusting and creating images for my blogs, social media and films. There are a lot of options to adjust, enhance and be creative. What do you dislike? The learning curve is a little steep if you are inexperienced with the software. Luckily there are many tutorials online. Recommendations to others considering the product: If you are looking for a way to adjust or create images then GIMP is the very ...

GIMP Is Free..But...

What do you like best? I love that GIMP is free and very useful to edit images instead of paying the large license fees of Adobe Creative Suite. It is great for resizing images, simple photo touch ups and edits such as changing colors or objects in the images. There are several capabilities and features offered within GIMP. In my opinion, GIMP offers more features than expected as a free software. What do you dislike? Being an Adobe Creative Suite User (Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator), ...

If you are confortable with image editing, have the time to learn the tool and have the basics of digital image and picture edition theory, this is the tool for you. Free, open source, very powerful. There is a version for Linux and Windows, it can work with all of the usual image formats: png, jpg, bpm, gif. It has filters, effects, layer and channel edition capabilities. What do you dislike? ...

Quite good image editing software, a little difficult to be used

What do you like best? I like the simplicity of installation. It is possible to use it almost everywhere with simple installation steps. I like the compatibility with all main image formats. It also support vector images. What do you dislike? It does not support the usage with multi level image layers like photoshop. It is difficult to remember always all the layer in the image, and with the usage of the transparency is even more difficult. It has several instruments for modifying ...

A powerful piece of software with functionality to match Photoshop, and supplied free of charge. The penalty, however, is the user interface is almost unusable. Absolutely horrible.
