Best Free Alternative to Adobe Photoshop

What do you like best? When I started to learn about graphic design, I had no budget to buy high-priced programs. GIMP made graphic design learning understandable with its useful structure as well as being very affordable. Since the interface is stylish and simple, you can use many different filters and scripts to improve my design. It doesn't take you time to find the tools I need to complete a design project. What do you dislike? GIMP is a bit slow when processing very large images. ...

It’s free, but it ain’t great

What do you like best? Again—it’s free. Photoshop casts a pretty penny, so for the casual editor, this is a preferable alternative. The interface is customizable and there are tutorials if you need them. What tools there are, work well. It can work with gif, bpm, png, jpg. What do you dislike? Doesn’t have all the features of professional editing software. Tutorial s aren’t as exact as Photoshop’s so you have to work some stuff out through trial and error. And I tried to download the ...

Open Source Image Editor Almost Perfect

What do you like best? Very easy to download and get started with, very powerful What do you dislike? Things can be confusing at times and there is a steep learning curve, especially if you are used to using applications like Photoshop as it is still a different piece of software Recommendations to others considering the product: If you need a photo editor but don't need to spend money, GIMP is the way to go What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have ...

GIMP is one of the few free image editing programs with completely professional tools

What do you like best? I have been using GIMP for a few years and it has always been my favorite photo editing app for our social media. I find that it is very easy to use and that it has a friendly interface. It has great tools for colors such as color balance, temperature, saturation, exposure, and more. Best of all, it's completely free. What do you dislike? I do not find disadvantages in the use of GIMP, it is a completely free software with support for multiple image formats. It ...

Gimp is Difficult

What do you like best? I like the software itself because it can help you create all sorts of things. It can be used for drawing, editing, and photo retouching. I like that it's free and open-source. I like that there is no limit to the things you can do with Gimp and that almost anybody can use it if they know what they are doing. What do you dislike? I don't understand how to work this at all. If I do something on there it will somehow distort my image. I tried to import two images ...

GIMP is the best open source alternative for image manipulation

What do you like best? GIMP is a versatile tool that can be used with both vector and pixel images and has great tools for both types of image editing. There are a lot of native filters and the image layer system allows you to test modifications to projects without risk of damaging changes made previously and that have not yet been saved, making the whole process faster. What do you dislike? GIMP developers are increasingly adding functions to the software. The downside of this is ...

Great Free Option for image editing

What do you like best? It's totally free! There is a great community that has made tons of free mods. For something open source like this it is amazing how often they update it! If you use Photoshop it shouldn't be hard to change over to GIMP and save some money. It can open most psd files to edit. Your learning curve will depend on how much you know about image editing. I am more of a beginner and I can still figure it out with some youtube videos. What do you dislike? Not as popular ...

Gimp the Photoshop Alternative

What do you like best? What I like about Gimp is that it has tools that are only found in paid programs. I would name it as the best Adobe Photoshop alternative since it includes layers, filters, automatic image enhancement, brushes, and a huge number of plugins that they can be found pre-installed, or you can download separately. Although Gimp is free, it is not a software with few tools, but it is a worthy alternative to Adobe Photoshop. Gimp comes with practical and professional tools ...

Best graphics editing open-source software

What do you like best? It's an open-source software which makes it best because it has nearly all the essential feature required and we don't need to pay for it. What do you dislike? Can't be used for extensive editing because some features are specific to coreldraw or photoshop Recommendations to others considering the product: See if you are a fresher and have low financials, go for gimp specially when you are an Ubuntu user. What problems are you solving with the product? ...

Gimp photo editing for university projects

What do you like best? The simplicity of GIMP is quite good, i like the how the toolbar is so organised, everything you need is literally on your sight. such an easy software for quick photo editing. What do you dislike? GIMP is not advanced as other existing photo editing softwares, there a lot of functionalities that is missed. Plus the community is not that big for docummentation and stuff. Recommendations to others considering the product: If you have some small photo ...
