Free Photoshop Alternative

What do you like best? GIMP is a great free tool for photo editing and artwork/digital painting. It provides all the basic editing tools such as layers, transparencies, effects, and brushes; as well as photo editing tools like brightness, saturation, exposure, curves etc. The open-source nature of the software is great for students, freelancers, and those who are new to digital editing. I think that GIMP is most useful for the ability to quickly resize/crop images, convert between ...

Very practical and useful. But it lacks to keep up with its commercial opponent.

What do you like best? It is a very simple program to use, very intuitive, light and totally free without limitations. It is not a program that requires many requirements, making it compatible with low-resource computers, which can be a very strong advantage. What do you dislike? There is very little documentation and what there is may be out of date. Even in user-made tutorials, you can't always find the information you are looking for about a tool. As it has in favor that it is not ...

Love this product!

What do you like best? I have been using GIMP for years. For a free product, the amount customization and functionality available is incredible, and it's actually much easier to learn quickly without much training, as opposed to Photoshop. What do you dislike? There's really nothing I don't like about GIMP! Recommendations to others considering the product: Try it, you won't regret it! What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? GIMP is ...

A workhorse for the professional image editor

What do you like best? Every feature that I could possibly want when editing an image is available in GIMP and this is an open source/free product. Considering alternatives with this much ability are in the hundreds of dollars for a single license, this product is my first go-to. What do you dislike? Tutorials and documentation are present in the product but it's very text heavy. The interface is efficient, but because there's so many features, it can be overwhelming to learn. ...

My review of GIMP

What do you like best? Its advanced features for editing images, cropping pixels that are placed sideways and that would not be croppable with Paint by example. We can also rotate images, play around with saturation degrees, shades, layers, and other features. It can be used as an enhanced design tool! And it is a valuable option for my possible future tasks about image editing, although I am mainly a software developer. Also, GIMP provides large support for languages, various ...
