Probably the best database for search
What do you like best? Database exposed as a REST service! Seriously. Working with elasticsearch is so easy and fantastic experience. You get so many features out of the box - like full text search, document custom scoring, suggestions, results highlighting etc. And that's just tip of the iceberg. There are so many pluging like logstash and kibana for displaying metrics and logging. Also it is highly scalable. What do you dislike? There's not much control over consistency of your ...

Fast/Reliable search & analytics
What do you like best? Speed and performance. Low overhead. Wide range of abilities and extendable plugins available. What do you dislike? There's not much to dislike. Some of the documentation could be more concise. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Searching, reporting, analytics.

So fast
What do you like best? The speed is incredible. Querying 2 billion or more documents usually returns results in less than 500ms, and sometimes way faster. What do you dislike? Understanding why some queries are slow while others are blazing fast isn't very intuitive sometimes. Make sure you are checking the correct version of the documentation - lots of healthy updates and new features always being added. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Enterprise-level search -- from thousands to billions of records, from photographs to PDFs and everything else.
