Great for working remotely.

What do you like best? IT's great to be able work collaboratively with colleagues on projects. We have instant access to the same files. It also makes working in different locations and on different computers viable. i also like that you can go back and look at a deleted file. What do you dislike? There are times it crashes. and the app waffles between keeping connecting and having to be reconnect or restarting my computer. Recommendations to others considering the product: NA ...

UX Problems

What do you like best? That files can be recovered, so when you delete by mistake, IT guys can help you. What do you dislike? Sometimes is hard to move between files and the fact that many times I create a link and forget to make them available more than a month. It should be more visible. Recommendations to others considering the product: I don't like using the app, because I prefer to have control over what I upload, and many times it's hard to synchronize the computer with ...

User friendly

What do you like best? User friendly and easy access for people we invite in What do you dislike? The price tag is pretty high and there is no intermediate solutions from a $45 monthly to a $145 monthly What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We use it as a data room and invite investors to review our data. That has been pretty useful so far

Useful tool, especially in quarantine

What do you like best? I appreciate the new feature that Egnyte added recently that lets you show the document title in the URL. It makes it much easier to track down files after a link expires, e.g. search for what someone emailed you a link to in your downloads. it's also great that I can drag and drop open files onto the Egnyte web page to upload. I also like the feature that lets you send several links at once in an organized manner. What do you dislike? I wish I could control how ...

Easy, collaborative, powerful

What do you like best? I share files to clients and I love the look they percibe, as the site is from my company. What do you dislike? Sometimes file transfer is a little slow What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? I use Egnyte to send large files to clients. The best thing is links never expire, and my clients have the experience of being in my corporate site.

Great, once you understand how to use it.

What do you like best? The dashboard, security features, file structure and general ease of use. History of file sharing/manipulation is helpful. What do you dislike? Inherited permissions and how to use correctly can at times be confusing and I have given access to folks that I didn't want to give access to. Copying and moving folders via the browser can some times be clunky, especially if you have many folders and buried sub-folders. Recommendations to others considering the ...

Security okay, document editing a nightmare

What do you like best? Egnyte's user interface is very straightforward; you can login from anywhere and access a very clear file directory. What do you dislike? It drives me mad that unlike Google Drive or a virtual private network, Egnyte requires you to download documents, make your edits, and then upload them again. Woe to you should you forget to do that final upload. I much prefer platforms where I can edit and save my changes without having the extra step of uploading it back ...

OK for file sharing, but disastrous as a Mac OS server

What do you like best? Egnyte is OK if you only want to send file sharing links to others. What do you dislike? As a cloud-based file server in a Mac OS environment, Egnyte is an unmitigated disaster. We had constant problems with files disappearing, files not being visible on the desktop level, files being locked, file versioning problems (what they call "conflict copies"). We placed countless service calls to resolve various serious issues, which sometimes worked and sometimes ...

An ideal tool for Document Management.

What do you like best? The fact the tool allows for collaboration in documentation excites me a lot. One can have multiple individuals working on the same document at the same time which helps save on time. It has great storage services. It provides a large cloud space for the storage of files. With this software, you are able to share files in real-time. What do you dislike? The search feature is slow and requires more filters to make it fast. Recommendations to others ...
