What do you like best? Eclipse IDE is the best IDE for Java Development. It has the best Enterprise Java tooling for JEE projects. What do you like best? It's more lightweight than Netbeans or Intelli-J, but lacks some of the features that more advanced IDEs have. Previous versions used to have stability issues, but this is no longer an issue as of the last few years.
