Not a great IDE. There are better IDE out there.

What do you like best? There is nothing special about this IDE. It is just like some other IDE. In fact there are other IDE such as NetBeans and IntelliJ which are much better than this one. What do you dislike? The font size for the project workspace is very small and there is no option to change this. This IDE will make me blind because of the small font for the projects window which appears on the left. Also, there themes are not good compared to other IDEs. The dark theme is too dark ...

Eclipse: An IDE that works

What do you like best? I like that Eclipse just works. Most everything is intuitive and it's very beginner-friendly. However, they also don't skimp on features. Plugins and integrations work well, and it's a very versatile tool. What do you dislike? It's not very pretty (but at least prettier than NetBeans, to be fair. A UI overhaul would be great, but far from a dealbreaker. Some plugins don't work very well (looking at you, m2e, but overall the experience is fairly smooth. ...

Refactoring, code completion, syntax checking, navigation capability are some of the main features of the eclipse IDE. This tool is very useful for Java Developers. When we compared to other IDE's like Netbeans, it is lightweight. It is independent development platform. What do you dislike? It is big and complex to use. Adding libraries is the tough part sometimes. Server ...

Useful Java IDE

What do you like best? Eclipse does a great job of ensuring that development time isn't bogged down by trying to locate the necessary members of a class; the suggestions are relevant and useful. What do you dislike? Sometimes refactoring can throw off the ability to suggest class members, and it can be a little slow to catch up with my typing speed. Recommendations to others considering the product The best possible free IDE for Java projects (and perhaps those in other languages as ...

By and far the best IDE for (cheap) experts

What do you like best? Eclipse is by and far one of the best inexpensive options for Java development on the market. While netbeans is an excellent beginners platform, Eclipse offers the tools that professionals are looking for in addition to the expandability they want in the long term. This is the perfect platform for small to moderate sized businesses that cannot afford a more expensive solution but still want a great IDE. What do you dislike? The only downside to Eclipse is that it ...
