Eclipse Product Review

What do you like best? The things I like best is it contains a base workspace and an extensible plug-in system for customizing the environment. I really liked the new version of eclipse which is neon. It has extensions of other development tools. It also offers documentations for usage and it also has debugging of code. It displays methods of a class and very convenient for object oriented programming. It also supports rich client applications. What do you dislike? The thing I dislike is ...

Perfect programming tool not only for Developers but also for Automation testers

What do you like best? Eclipse mostly uses Java and this allows technical people to write developer code as well as automation testing scripts. This also facilitates us default or in-app libraries and also allows us to include JAR files for importing the java class files, directories, image files etc. What do you dislike? Not a major point but sometimes we have to re-start Eclipse in order to reset everything up and have to start it back again. Also, bunch of temporary files are created ...

What do you like best?

What do you like best?

Good plugging and tools but could do with improvements

What do you like best? The pluggings and tools are the best features I like. Pluggings such as sourceCodeMetrics and checkit have been very useful in debugging codes. It gives good matrices that can be used in understanding, cohesion, complexity etc. The cloning from git and version control for written software is also an interesting feature, It simplifies quite a lot of processes What do you dislike? The time it takes in loading its packages before opening. It is understandable that ...

Useful but outdated

What do you like best? Has a lot of functionality and gets the job done. Also, it has been widely used, hence there is a lot of support especially on stack overflow which is basically the go-to place for all kinds of tech issues. And it is kind of a jack of all trade for everything related to Java and even C/ C++ including Maven, Android ( although the support has dropped, Ant and even customized libraries. What do you dislike? Is buggy sometimes and refactoring can take quite some time. ...

Eclipse for SAP ABAP HANA

What do you like best? It is easy to incorporate all the SAP ABAP environment with Eclipse - perspective. In a few minutes you can work as in ECC. What do you dislike? ADT doesn't remplace SAPGUI, so for any connection to SAP system you've had to cofigura SAP Logon. For some ABAP objects, such DD, Eclipse opens a new SAP GUI windows. Recommendations to others considering the product Eclipse has some advantages: it is free and open source. Can be used to develop applications in different ...
