Pattern of late payments

No problems at first, the staff was helpful and friendly, and I was offered regular projects. However, they have a pattern of not paying freelancers on time. I wish I had done more research on this company. I have several invoices that are now over a month late. Despite several emails, I still haven't received the payments or an explanation. Like others here have described, they reply at first, apologize, and promise to fix it, but then nothing happens and they stop replying. It's a shame ...
