By providing real-time data with detailed breakdowns, Dynatrace allows for quicker identification and resolution of performance issues, reducing downtime and improving service reliability.
Dynatrace measures every step of the user experience, allowing businesses to track all aspects of application performance across the entire user journey, not just isolated metrics.
With intuitive and context-aware dashboards, Dynatrace presents data in a way that’s easy to understand, making it simpler for teams to spot and address performance bottlenecks.
The software automatically captures comprehensive application data, including beyond the standard metrics, providing deeper insights into performance and helping businesses address issues proactively.
Dynatrace’s pricing may not be affordable for smaller businesses or startups, as it’s designed more for large enterprises, making it less accessible for budget-conscious organizations.
Due to its comprehensive monitoring capabilities, Dynatrace can be resource-heavy, potentially putting a strain on system performance, especially in environments with limited resources.

Great support during implementation and beyond
What do you like best? I like that Dynatrace assisted us when we decided to bring AppMon/Dynatrace into our company. The assistance they provided leading up to implementation and beyond was superb. What do you dislike? I dont' like that Dynatrace can't do everything that I need and I have to rely on other tools to fill in gaps, but it seems that the company is continuously working to improve the product. Recommendations to others considering the product: Take advantage of the ...

DT summary
What do you like best? new technology of one agent , like sesion replay, RUM What do you dislike? Overall I believe end user complexity has increases compared to old appmon , with few clicks we were able to identify the bottlenecks earlier. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? I am a performance engineer , so my main focus is to identify application performance issues under load , and understand how application behaves in prod.

Dynatrace for Problem Solving
What do you like best? Content of the topic, details related to concepts. The concept of agent less and UEM are the topics that are of most interesting. With the implementation of AKAMAI and CDN the response time information from E2E users becomes more challenging. The analysis technique provided by Dynatrace have multifold advantages. One of the most interesting feature of DT is PurePath. Gone are the days when we need to extract the logs across all the server nodes, midtier and DB ...

Deploy Faster, monitor more with AI problem detection
What do you like best? I love that getting Dynatrace deployed is so easy and that it identifies so much on its own without any configuration. We have so many different legacy and cloud based technologies that it has helped us monitor more of our company applications across multiple divisions. What do you dislike? I wish Dynatrace would adapt more product features from the Appmon product so that our final migration off of the Appmon product goes smoothly for our internal app teams. I ...

Implementation was easy.
What do you like best? I like it's so simple to get Dynatrace results which allow continuous services improvement. What do you dislike? The quota for custom metrics of Dynatrace can easily be eliminated and its transparency is not so obvious as the platform lacks one consumer report. Recommendations to others considering the product: Not all technology versions are supported as usual. It is recommended to check the support matrix to make sure that your environment can be managed ...

Application insights using Dynatrace
What do you like best? Dynatrace is one of the best profiling tools especially for JVM. I used Dynatrace to analyze the thread dumps, identify hot areas of the code and also object locks and memory leaks What do you dislike? Little expensive. The JVM profiling tools available with JDK now a days are close to that of Dynatrace. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Application and data base tuning.
