Dynatrace pros and cons

  • By providing real-time data with detailed breakdowns, Dynatrace allows for quicker identification and resolution of performance issues, reducing downtime and improving service reliability.

  • Dynatrace measures every step of the user experience, allowing businesses to track all aspects of application performance across the entire user journey, not just isolated metrics.

  • With intuitive and context-aware dashboards, Dynatrace presents data in a way that’s easy to understand, making it simpler for teams to spot and address performance bottlenecks.

  • The software automatically captures comprehensive application data, including beyond the standard metrics, providing deeper insights into performance and helping businesses address issues proactively.

  • Dynatrace’s pricing may not be affordable for smaller businesses or startups, as it’s designed more for large enterprises, making it less accessible for budget-conscious organizations.

  • Due to its comprehensive monitoring capabilities, Dynatrace can be resource-heavy, potentially putting a strain on system performance, especially in environments with limited resources.

DYNATRACE has been a great asset for performance testing

What do you like best? Ability to drill down to the code and replay user sessions What do you dislike? SaaS navigations - kind of confuses as how we reached that link and no easy option to go back to where we started and also the time duration filter just plays up What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? reduced performance testing lifecyle from 2 months to 2 weeks

Dynatrace helps with ease of troubleshooting incidents

Seeing dependencies and their flows, while also suggesting a root cause, helps speed up troubleshooting certain scenarios a lot. We have had several situations where a typical troubleshooting scenario would have taken several hours with multiple teams to isolate a specific root cause, only after clearing multiple other potential root causes one by one. With ...

Dynatrace for Problem Solving

One of the most interesting feature of DT is PurePath. Gone are the days when we need to extract the logs across all the server nodes, midtier and DB ...
