Misinformation when purchasing family plan
I enjoy the app and I have tried the super plan which is why I decided to purchase family plan. According to the info in the app, you can add other Duolingo users who do not have a super plan and they can keep their strikes and progress. Unfortunately this is not accurate because when my friends followed the link they are not prompted to accept the invitation which led me to google if there is a specific guide. Turns out - at least based on Duolingo’s website - that you cannot add anyone ...

It's good, but not ideal
I've been using it for a long time, I'm learning Spanish and have a subscription. I like it. Yes, it's not ideal, but it's still good and I'm used to it. The only problem in Spanish is that it's LATAM Spanish version and I would appreciate Castellano more. But I would add more theoretical material for sure.

Duolingo as such is a quite good app BUT
Duolingo as such is a quite good app. Content however is far from acceptable because their woke employees constantly try to stuff their WOKE Commy CRAP down your throat: Boyfriends/Girlfriends/Husbands/Wifes are always same sex, Men look silly, stupid and useless, everybody writes books and studies literature, Climate tales etc. Don't expect to find normal, useful, everyday real life sentences.

Duolingo isn't that bad
I've seen multiple bad reviews but I don't think it was that bad. I became interested in learning French a while ago and started using both Duolingo and Memrise. Duolingo gives basic knowledge and slowly gives you information instead of instantly giving you 20 different words at once like Memrise. I've talked to AI Chat bots and I have certainly improved because of Duolingo. Memrise was slightly useful but I think I'll use it more often once I think I'm at an advanced level of French.

Good for beginners, annoying gamification elements
Duolingo is quite a decent tool to reach the A1-A2 level in German. While trying to keep the strikes and practice daily, I get annoyed by the constant notifications about me losing the status in so-called leagues, a gamification element, apparently, just to get more subscriptions out of competitiveness. Being in a league is not optional, and it is where you essentially compete against a random selection of users, who practice different languages on different levels. So, a user who is ...

"I am learning Spanish"
What do you like best about Duolingo? I have been using Duolingo for about a year now, and I love how I can keep going over the same lessons to refine my knowledge and review my weak areas. I am also using it in conjunction with my Spanish courses, and it is helping me out with the coursework. The other great thing is that I decide when to move on to the following lessons. I do it when I feel ready. In a traditional classroom, you have to go along with the course schedule and not feel ...

I started learning with Duo
I started learning with Duo over 3 years ago, then took 2 college classes, while still using it daily. It has helped me to learn to read and speak Spanish, and to retain most of what I learn. I think they do a great job challenging me at whatever level I reach.

Best free language app, loss of discussion section hurts
As far as the free version goes, this app is good for learning the grammar of a new language. The main lessons focus on reading, listening, speaking, and writing comprehension. Vocabulary expands along the way; if you don't know a word, pressing on it gives the translation. There are also stories/dialogues which help mix it up. To motivate practice there are daily goals, league contests, milestone wagers, and pair-up challenges (you are paired up with another learner to reach goals to earn ...

Underrated Duolingo
I think that Duolingo is underrated. They are always trying to make the app better. Duolingo has a many different voices, what is good for learning. The price for Super Duolingo is not so high and it is worth it. To make learning fun, there are leagues and achievements. And you can review skills in guidebook. When youcan't understand the audio you can make it slower. You can always jump the lections if you think you can pass the test. The best thing is, that when you have a small typo, it ...
