Powerfull BI Tool

What do you like best? All Visualizations which are present in Dundas BI and Simplified design for developers , no need for additional skills to develop the dashboards/Reports and Responsive templates which are very useful for any resolution are looking great either mobile or projector. What do you dislike? Required some improvement in score card design, currently score card are not responsive and taking time to design and there is no query string capture or storage which leads to ...

Great tool with significant releases every year and best in class embedded BI functionalities

What do you like best? - Flexibility - In Memory Cubes - Web-based - Open API - Great visualizations - Great embedded options What do you dislike? It seems to be rather difficult to run multiple instances in parallel for the sake of job separation (i.e. one instance for building in-memory cubes, one instance for development and one instance for consumption) when all of these are to be fully synchronized and aware of each other. Recommendations to others considering the ...

Dundas BI is a tool that allows developers to deliver complex analytics in a consumable fashion.

What do you like best? A huge benefit of Dundas BI is the extensive Javascript API that will allow you to script essentially anything that doesn't come out of the box. There is a lot of documentation to follow as well. What do you dislike? There are times where the auto-save feature is slow or doesn't save the latest version. Before checking in my project, I always make sure to make a minor change right before doing so to be sure the latest version is checked in. Recommendations to ...

Steep Learning Curve but Infinitely Flexible

What do you like best? Compared to PBI, Spotfire, and others Dundas offers far more out of the box configuration options for standard visuals and interactions. Throw in scripting and so far there is no design we haven't been able to implement. What do you dislike? It seems like visuals from other BI products have slightly more polish and fidelity, especially in map charts. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Dundas lets us embed BI ...

Dundas has opened many doors for our organization in a short amount of time

What do you like best? We really appreciate the vast options of connecting data through Dundas. Our data is in a variety of different formats and locations so Dundas allows us to connect SharePoint, Flat Files, Excel, SQL, etc fairly easily. What do you dislike? This isn't a true dislike of Dundas, but we come from a very Excel based organization. Changing our mindset of thinking and learning how we start using visualizations has been slower then we anticipated. We need to allow ...

Visual Appeal

What do you like best? The visual appeal of the dynamically changing visualizations is a strong point for Dundas. They are setting industry standards. What do you dislike? The use of the cube function does not allow for an analysis of where the pulling process is bottle necking. enjoy the tool, but not as intuitive on the cube build side. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? The ease of use for non-technical staff has allowed for data ...

Impressive set of features out-of-the-box with freedom to customize

What do you like best? The degree to which properties can be controlled during dashboard design is miles ahead compared to other BI tools, and anything that doesn't have settings available in the UI can usually be handled with custom scripting. What do you dislike? The data cube development process can be complex and has a number of known issues and odd behaviors, so I end up avoiding it and using manual SQL to prepare and load data - this part of the application has a lot of potential ...
