We have been using Drchrono for almost 7 years and now are in the process of switching to AthenaHelath. Drchrono has gone down hill in the past few years and after the ownership changed. They moved their team to India and since then customer service has become nonexistent. As a healthcare professional I strongly suggest to steer clear from this company.

terrible service outsourced and just doesn't work

This company has followed suit with many companies in this nation. They convince you they will work and that you have support and then they pass the buck to someone else every time. I have worked with this company for years with 4 different practices since they were new a few months old. DrChrono is by far the worst ehr system…

DrChrono is by far the worst ehr system on the planet. They continue to try and mess with their product and update things (always the wrong things), and change things (always unnecessary things). They need to just leave the system alone and update the areas needed and stop trying to make it something it's not. The product they have could be amazing but oh so many days I cannot get anything done because it crashes and it takes them FOREVER to fix the issue.

Outdated.

Needs a complete overhaul. It’s been the same for a decade and is seriously outdated. It used to be cutting edge and I hoped they would try to stay ahead of the curve but it’s seems as though there’s very little effort to modernize the platform. It also crashes all the time.

BEWARE

They have cost me tens of thousands of dollars from mismanagement of my account during the cyber attack. Horrible customer service. Horrible everything. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY.

Class action lawsuit?

This company has cost me thousands because of faulty billing, software, and a complete lack of customer service. I am out tens of thousands due to their lack of communication and implementation to another clearinghouse after the cyberattack. Now due to timely filing, many claims won't be paid. They've pretty much ghosted me. I think they have 3 people on staff total. I am furious. Anyone else have these issues and know if they can be held responsible?

DrChrono's 9th reply to me is as follows: I hope this email finds you well! I checked with the development team and the specialist, they have confirmed that the ERA which was received from the payer was posted successfully. If you observe the payment posted was incorrect,you need to check with the payer from where the ERA was received,because the system will post the information only from the ERA received. Also i have attached the source file for your reference on what the ERA was ...

For anyone considering using DrChrono, DON'T!!! I haven't been receiving ERAs since October, despite hundreds of emails, calls, tickets, hours and hours of wasted time, etc. They've sent me on wild goose chases all over the place: "contact the payer, contact the clearinghouse, update the browser, clear your cache".
