"Daminion - Short Review"

What do you like best about Daminion? The user interface is very good organized, tools are grouped logically and easy to find. I mainly use it to tag my images. Daminion does it fast and without any unnecessary steps between actions.

"Daminion Delivers"

What do you like best about Daminion? One of the highlights for me of using Daminion has been the tagging and indexed searching, I have thoroughly enjoyed marking my imported photos with multiple categorical tags while naming them using custom naming patterns - after which I have the ability to toggle or filter the tags or multiple tags as well as search on any part of the name or the file's metadata. Another highlight has been the support - I have followed the development of Daminion since ...

"Daminion DAM Software"

What do you like best about Daminion? The extensive features and the ability to customise how the program is configured to suit your needs. The program is well thought out and logical. There is excellent support and a very active forum. The tags and metadata is portable, i.e. can be viewed in other programs. The search functions very powerful. Excellent value for the money. What I also like is that this product is young and is continuing to be developed with new features appearing ...

"Daminion has been a lifesaver"

What do you like best about Daminion? Daminion allows us to organize our vast collection of images in a central, easy-to-use database with concurrent user access. It also allows us to easily locate images of a variety of people in our organization. It is going to be a HUGE time saver and resource for us as we go forward. Our Communications Department is initially going to have access to the catalogs. We have discussed the possibility of rolling it out as a solution organizational wide ...

"Professional genealogists uses Daminion to organize record images and files"

What do you like best about Daminion? The ability to add, edit and search information added to Description field in IPTC. I use this to add citation information. Also the ability to tag PDF and text files. Also the ability to create custom hierarchy of tags.

"Outstanding DAM software value & ease of use"

What do you like best about Daminion? I am very grateful to have discovered this digital asset management software recently. I had tried several versions which were incredibly expensive as well as an open source version though I didn't find it as user friendly as I'd liked. I have plans to utilize this software for three purposes. I will recommend it to a professional photographer colleague who needs help to organize his portfolio. I will use it to organize the several thousand images I ...

"Daminion 4.5"

What do you like best about Daminion? As a former software developer I appreciate the sound database design of Daminion 4.5. For instance: it not only shows you the keyworded images, but also -without an queriing- shows the images that are not keyworded yet.

"Great Software for Digital Asset Mangement"

What do you like best about Daminion? I like the version control, i.e. the possibility to check out an image, modify it with other software, check in the new version while the original(s) can still be accessed, if needed. Quite smooth to open an image with an external program with a single keystroke (V = open, E = check out & edit).
