A beautifully simple CMS platform for dummies.

What do you like best? Once installed the design and front-end functionality is perfect for any experience level. Templates and extensions are easy to install and use. What do you dislike? Since the newest version, there have been fewer new extensions which is a shame. But most basics are there. Recommendations to others considering the product Consider using an external dev team for set up of the platform. At points, it was quite fiddly. What business problems are you solving with the ...

Quick review on Concrete5

What do you like best? Concrete5 comes with a big jump. From the ground up developed as a blogging software. Concrete5 was originally created as a way to quickly and easily design and build a website. The platform has enough functionality out-of-the-box allowing to build any kinds of websites as well. What do you dislike? While Concrete5 is considered to be very easy, some steps can be more detailed, and vary depending on the specific theme or plugin you are using. What business problems ...

Pretty user friendly and fast, but not as diverse as more popular platforms

What do you like best? The speed and simplicity of the platform is where it shines. It's also easy to implement. What do you dislike? Looking at form inquiries is more challenging than it needs to be. Since it is not as widely used as, say, WordPress the support and plugins are limited. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We've used it as the content management system for smaller websites. Easier to implement is a positive - saves ...

The complexity and how badly it grows for bigger websites/apps What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Content management system for a website we were building at my past company

a better option for webdesign

What do you like best? the fact that designers can enter the platform at their skill/comfort level. you can build in WYSIWYG, blocks, or code-edit methods, from a single interface. the instant on-server versioning is awesome. It is not as restrictive as other WYSIWYG platforms, and it is proprietary to a server space (you can use it as WYSIWYG on your own server/hosting. bootstrap brings uniformity to repetitive work. What do you dislike? you have to install it for each website created, ...

Works well, does exactly what I need it to.

What do you like best? Decent photo editor built in, well organized, easy to use. Well suited for even the most non-tech person to use. What do you dislike? Occasionally an issue with a lag between editing a photo and then it showing correctly on site. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Streamlining our website as well as integrating our student and parent portals with the website.

Very flexible CMS for Designers and Devs

What do you like best? Very flexible system with a lot of built-in tools like inline editing, page versioning, built in blocks like image-slider, forms, seo-features, flexible theming, layout-columns in pages, user-permissions and roles. Secure and robust core! One of the coolest things is to build custom blocks for controlling the look and feel and giving a simple and flexible solution to a site editor. What do you dislike? The community isn't big enough to push things. I mean its a ...

User friendly live editing straight out-of-the-box, for almost EVERYTHING

What do you like best? The live editing (and its ease of use for every page is THE best thing concrete5 ships with. Go to a pageyou'd like to edit and add/change parts of your page - using Blocks. A page is build with multiple Blocks and you just click on a Block to do an action (edit/delete and many more. Each Block has its own fields to change, let's say a "Testimonial" Block with a "Name", "Image" and "Text" field. Change a Block, save the page and afterwards you have full versioning of ...

Has it all and extends to everythig I ever needed

What do you like best? It is easy to use for (tech-unsavvy users and still extendable for developers. Its robust core provides a lot of functionality out-of-the-box and the recent step from version 5.6 to version 7 cut off a lot of old code with all its possible problem of security breaches. Not only do I like the products itself but also the philosophy of the team developing it. What do you dislike? It is relativeley unknown despite its high quality. It seems like many people measure the ...
