Love Concrete5!!

What do you like best? It is so easy from a developer standpoint to create websites that are easy for clients, with no web background, to maintain once I am done building it. It is super simply to train people on and easy for them to really take over without much help after we hand it over!! I do like that there are themes you can choose from too. It makes it easy to start instead of starting from scratch. What do you dislike? I wish there was more of a variety of pre made blocks. I ...

Excellent. Been using C5 for 9 years

What do you like best? Very easy to customise and users love the user experience What do you dislike? Some customizations rely on quite a bit of heavy uplift. In terms of setting up blogs for example. Recommendations to others considering the product: Get using it. Its fantastic. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Mainly corporate websites allowing no specialists the chance to manage online content

Can be customised easily.

What do you like best? The ability and flexibility that it offers. You can basically customize concrete however you need. Also, the WYSIWYG editor is amazing. There are several plugins like the designer block that make the experience awesome. What do you dislike? The community support. There is sufficient support but not as much as I would like What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Concrete 5 allowed me to give access of the client to ...

A beautifully simple CMS platform for dummies.

What do you like best? Once installed the design and front-end functionality is perfect for any experience level. Templates and extensions are easy to install and use. What do you dislike? Since the newest version, there have been fewer new extensions which is a shame. But most basics are there. Recommendations to others considering the product Consider using an external dev team for set up of the platform. At points, it was quite fiddly. What business problems are you solving with the ...

a better option for webdesign

What do you like best? the fact that designers can enter the platform at their skill/comfort level. you can build in WYSIWYG, blocks, or code-edit methods, from a single interface. the instant on-server versioning is awesome. It is not as restrictive as other WYSIWYG platforms, and it is proprietary to a server space (you can use it as WYSIWYG on your own server/hosting. bootstrap brings uniformity to repetitive work. What do you dislike? you have to install it for each website created, ...

Very flexible CMS for Designers and Devs

What do you like best? Very flexible system with a lot of built-in tools like inline editing, page versioning, built in blocks like image-slider, forms, seo-features, flexible theming, layout-columns in pages, user-permissions and roles. Secure and robust core! One of the coolest things is to build custom blocks for controlling the look and feel and giving a simple and flexible solution to a site editor. What do you dislike? The community isn't big enough to push things. I mean its a ...

User friendly live editing straight out-of-the-box, for almost EVERYTHING

What do you like best? The live editing (and its ease of use for every page is THE best thing concrete5 ships with. Go to a pageyou'd like to edit and add/change parts of your page - using Blocks. A page is build with multiple Blocks and you just click on a Block to do an action (edit/delete and many more. Each Block has its own fields to change, let's say a "Testimonial" Block with a "Name", "Image" and "Text" field. Change a Block, save the page and afterwards you have full versioning of ...

Has it all and extends to everythig I ever needed

What do you like best? It is easy to use for (tech-unsavvy users and still extendable for developers. Its robust core provides a lot of functionality out-of-the-box and the recent step from version 5.6 to version 7 cut off a lot of old code with all its possible problem of security breaches. Not only do I like the products itself but also the philosophy of the team developing it. What do you dislike? It is relativeley unknown despite its high quality. It seems like many people measure the ...
