Easy to link information to everyone involved

PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? I like that Chatter is part of Salesforce which I use most. It was easy for me to link people, emails, and activiities to SF and get that information to anyone involved. What aspects are problematic or could work better? Nothing much; the most frustrating part was trying to convince people to use what comes integrated with Salesforce such as this. What specific problems in your company were solved by this product? The biggest ...

This goes beyond "Facebook for business." It's actually meant to help in the collaboration between records and individuals.

PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? I like how Chatter isn't just limited to individuals working and doing posts on links. It makes it possible to collaborate in across individuals, files, records, and even through the dashboards themselves. That way, Chatter posts can possess context of the data record. The part where it's brilliant is that it gets you to break the mold of traditional silos in an organization. What aspects are problematic or could work better? At ...

An awesome with transparency in the mix.

PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? I like the thought of making things look like an open forum for both myself and the colleagues I work with. Then using such forum and offering trends and carrying out of data analysis. I like seeing what's currently trending. I like seeing what my customers and communities as are thinking. What aspects are problematic or could work better? It's certainly a challenge to be reporting on. If users don't possess the right settings, ...

It has the potential to be an excellent tool.

PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? I love how easy it is to communicate. This holds true on certain records. It's useful in tagging groups and users within Chatter posts. You can even make use of hashtags in forging topics. What aspects are problematic or could work better? I dislike the fact that you have zero control on the group alert settings. Thing is, the "Announcement" tool does provide a box to checking and sending it in the form of an e-mail for all members ...

Fosters collaborationg among team members regardless of location.

PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? As a field consultant, I get to observe co-workers who aren't in my immediate project team once or not seeing them at all. I rarely get to see my co-workers who are abroad. Chatter lets us share what we're in the middle of doing. It helps us look into expertise from other people, communicate effectively, and posting content. What aspects are problematic or could work better? The Salesforce UI isn't really good. So I made Chatter ...

Making it easy to keep and access relevant information together

PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? Chatter allows me to keep my emails for client interaction only and avoid losing important messages amid clutter. Using Chatter groups also makes it easy to keep relevant information together, and following certain groups and posts ensures I stay informed on the things I want to. What aspects are problematic or could work better? Mentioning a user on a thread will include them on the email alerts for that topic even though they have ...

Helpful in seeing previous converstations related to the business

PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? I love communicating with teammates about my clients and projects. It is so helpful to see historical conversations about accounts and contacts when I am looking at their records. My email inbox is cleaner, and the communication is where I want it when I need it. What aspects are problematic or could work better? While #topics is a compelling idea, it's difficult to get our whole team to gel around certain core topics. What ...
