Friendly team trying to make a complex problem simpler

What do you like best? I think the onboarding staff is great. We worked with Kimber and she could not have been more patient and helpful throughout the process. What do you dislike? The cap table format is a bit hard to digest depending on the type of report you are looking at and the linking within the exported reports could be better Recommendations to others considering the product: Have to make sure you really understand cap tables to make full use of the platform. ...

Carta has been a game-changer for our fund

What do you like best? The people who work at Carta - from our account manager to the customer support - are really what sets it apart. Yes, they have the best software. Yes, their software is the most user friendly we have seen. Yes, they have scale and more than half of our 70+ portfolio companies were already using them. But, it's really the quality of the people there that has made everything from our onboarding to daily usage feel 10x easier than we could have ever expected. What ...

Slick platform for managing equity grants from employers

What do you like best? Quick and easy management of startup equity grants What do you dislike? Not all terms are defined in enough detail for equity neophytes. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Equity grants from my employer (startup).

Powerful cap table management software for mid-size companies

What do you like best? Carta can easily handle all of our all cap table management needs. By far the best feature is the Customer Support Team. They have friendly and informative staff that will answer most if not all you questions instantly through their live chat or by email. User interface is very intuitive and easy to navigate. Accessing data is fairly straight forward. Issuing option grants to employees is a breeze; fill out the information on a downloadable template and import it ...

Simplified Option Tracking and Expense Reporting

What do you like best? Carta has simplified the process for issuing and tracking options, handling the complex task of calculating stock option compensation expense for financial reporting purposes, and obtaining affordable 409a valuations. What do you dislike? There is really nothing that we dislike. We have been a customer for over 4 years and have seen continued improvements/enhancements in the function and features of the software. Recommendations to others considering the ...

Good way to manage shares

What do you like best? Easy to use, good way to track the progress, constant notifications What do you dislike? Nothing really in particular. Maybe it’s new name Carta is not as clear anymore and when they were transitioning there were some interruptions. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? It is difficult for our employees to understand and manage their SAR and eshares helps a lot to have self service there.

A good alternative solution than using Excel and manual labour

What do you like best? I find that the user interface is one of eShare's strong point. Nowadays, everyone wants user friendly and simple to navigate platforms, which eShares has achieved. Both from the administrative perspective and the user side it has an easy to use platform. The system's capability of handling multiple investors and stock options makes eShares a must. Their cap table is also top notch, simple and easy to export and send to investors. What do you dislike? The ...

Not very intuitive, not great support

What do you like best? It's obviously much better than having this data on an excel sheet. For the employees, it's a much better experience, as it allows them to see their shares and vesting period. What do you dislike? It's just not very intuitive. During and after tender offers, we faced some issues with the platform that the support team wasn't very proactive at helping with. They made some mistakes and refused to admit to them, which makes our job frustrating. What problems ...

Great Software to manage Options

What do you like best? Eshares is great if I ever want to check up on my options, and I like that I have a dependable site I can trust. Their Support team is very helpful, and their site is very straight forward. What do you dislike? The site can be a little confusing to use, especially on the back end. That being said, I am not an investing expert, so maybe this just isn't mean for me. Recommendations to others considering the product: Their may be better options out ...
