"A cost effective solution to produce high-quality screen capture videos"
What do you like best about Camtasia? Camtasia is very easy to use. It exports videos in very high quality. It allows to capture only portions of the screen, and make simple edits. I had to capture screens and embed them into a larger project. The formats it supports are compatible with all sorts of video editing/post production tools, thus making it easily integrable with other tools. What do you dislike about Camtasia? There's nothing in particular I disliked in Camtasia when using it in ...

"Great tool for e-learning"
What do you like best about Camtasia? Camtasia is very easy to get up and running with, even if you have never used a screen capture tool before. TechSmith also provides a good amount of support on their website and through email communication. If you are a competent software user you will probably pick up on Camtasia fairly easily with little training. The features (voice narration, transitions, zoom n pan, callouts, etc) are all very useful and they make editing easy as well. It allows ...

"Camtasia is a great tool for software training."
What do you like best about Camtasia? This tool is easy to use, fast to get up and running and low priced. It took me no time at all to master this application and they provide a great set of objects (graphics and sound) to use while you develop your content. They are constantly upgrading the product with new features. What do you dislike about Camtasia? There is very little to dislike about this product. I have never had an experience which was difficult to resolve. The rendering is a bit ...

"A great screen recording and basic video editing tool"
What do you like best about Camtasia? I've used Camtasia since 2008 and with every new edition I have found something new I didn't know I couldn't livwe without. From call outs and zoom to adding Closed Captioning, Camtasia is a program I use often in my day to day work. Screen recording is Camtasia's core purpose and it is really easy set up a recording pipeline based around it. The ability to record sound directly coming from my PC's internal audio has made grabbing samples of our ...

"Simple video editing makes for great training videos!"
What do you like best about Camtasia? Camtasia editing is easy and a timesaver. By using multi-tracks, I can use callouts as needed to show off our product to our clients, while blurring out portions that I don't want clients to see. I often use Powerpoint slides inside of Camtasia, which is a very easy plug-in to work with. Both Camtasia and Powerpoint work well together. I love the audio recorder and the editing that I can do to make my voice sound more professional and more smooth. I can ...

"I only briefly used Camtasia for a couple of projects during a short product marketing stint."
What do you like best about Camtasia? I liked how granular you can get with all the frames and the many features it provided once I learned what all the buttons were. What do you dislike about Camtasia? The initial process of getting started and learning what the basic features were. Recommendations to others considering Camtasia: I would section off the most basic and most used features to eliminate any initial barriers. What problems is Camtasia solving and how is that benefiting you? I ...

"Occasional user appreciates easy learning curve"
What do you like best about Camtasia? Overall ease of use. Editing controls are fairly intuitive. Easy learning curve. What do you dislike about Camtasia? Some of the graphics are dated looking, with limited control. For example, the rounded rectangle doesn't provide a way to change the radius and, whens stretched, it distorts. I would like to see the ability to edit the shapes similar to what can be done with Word or PowerPoint. Recommendations to others considering Camtasia: One of the ...

"Useful software"
What do you like best about Camtasia? I like that it is consistent and fairly easy to use. Anyone on our team can learn how to set it up. What do you dislike about Camtasia? Sometimes the recordings fail and we can't be certain that we'll get everything we need. What problems is Camtasia solving and how is that benefiting you? It allows us to add additional revenue by recording workshops and presentations at our conferences, and then selling them later.

"Camtasia is very easy to use and very intuitive."
What do you like best about Camtasia? I like that I can open the application and begin using it immediately because it is so intuitive. It is also very easy to edit the work you are doing and to build the finished product can happen very quickly. What do you dislike about Camtasia? There is nothing negative that I can say from my experience with Camtasia. Recommendations to others considering Camtasia: You can shop around for other solutions but this is one of the best out there and has a ...
