"Great entry level screencasting/online learning creation tool."
What do you like best about Camtasia? Quick learning curve and (comparably) intuitive interface. Robust support, both from Camtasia and from other sources, so it's easy to find instructions on how to do most anything one would want to. Plenty of add-ins for commonly used programs like PowerPoint that make the recording and importing process even simpler. What do you dislike about Camtasia? When using interactive features and call outs, it's tricky to get the video & all the elements working ...

"Easy to use, fairly robust for the price"
What do you like best about Camtasia? I've been using Camtasia off and on for 13 years as a learning and marketing tool. It's a great tool for editing learning assets. We use it for small things like editing a recorded webinar that we're going to put on an LMS to more sophisticated things like creating a SCORM course with quizzes, a table of contents, animation, mixtures of screen recordings and narrated "slides". When we are working on large projects we'll have SMEs download Camtasia and ...

"Frequent user of Camtasia."
What do you like best about Camtasia? I love the edit features and ease of use. What do you dislike about Camtasia? Could use more cool edit tools for special effects. Would also like Speech to Text for script purposes. Recommendations to others considering Camtasia: Go through the tutorials. It is worth your time. What problems is Camtasia solving and how is that benefiting you? Just-in-time training with screen shots and audio voice over. Fast and easy to use.

"Camtasia "
What do you like best about Camtasia? My primary use of Camtasia has been to create online tutorials for college classes that I teach. What do you dislike about Camtasia? One of the major things I've had issues with is the time it takes to fully convert the recording into something that's easily downloadable or that can be shown on the Internet. What problems is Camtasia solving and how is that benefiting you? As a college teacher, I've found that some students are visual learners and ...

"A great low cost tool that will meet many requirements"
What do you like best about Camtasia? Screen capture has moved a long way in the past 10 years - the features and ease of use of camtasia make creation easy but the real advantage is the ease at which the output can be shared. What do you dislike about Camtasia? There is not a lot to dislike, especially when you compare to other products in the area - What problems is Camtasia solving and how is that benefiting you? Short turn around times for training materials with only one developer ...

"Camtasia is easy to learn and use. Editing is simple and clean."
What do you like best about Camtasia? How easy it is to use. I also like the tutorials on Techsmith's site. What do you dislike about Camtasia? That you can only open one project at a time and cannot copy and paste from one project to another. Recommendations to others considering Camtasia: Camtasia is excellent for making video, however they will not be interactive. What problems is Camtasia solving and how is that benefiting you? It make training our software UI a snap.

"Camtasia: Easy screen capture and video producer"
What do you like best about Camtasia? If you use IMovie or Windows Movie Maker, then you can use Camtasia. The online tutorials cover the basics, and even some of the more advanced features. The ability to Upload directly to YouTube or Vimeo is very helpful. What do you dislike about Camtasia? The quiz feature is flash based and does require hosting of the files. Would better if it was HTML 5 as Flash is considered a security risk at this point. Recommendations to others considering ...

"Does what it should and does it prettily"
What do you like best about Camtasia? Switched form captivate as that was far too laggy and tried to do too much whilst not looking nice, found camtaisia at lot smoother to do and simple to throw in text and graphics when needed What do you dislike about Camtasia? Previously disliked not being able to add more interaction but moving well away from flash and can do without a lot better Recommendations to others considering Camtasia: Does what it needs to do and does it well What problems is ...

"Video File converter and editing with ease "
What do you like best about Camtasia? Aside from the primary use to capture and create training videos, I have used CS to slice and dice multiple videos of different formats and static images, convert existing videos with optimum quality for my target audience. What do you dislike about Camtasia? The inability to animate Call-outs. Since we are working with Video on a Timeline, we already have separate video Tracks, why not have a track that has the ability to create simple visual ...
