It's good.

What do you like best? It's a perfectly fine product that will save you headaches. What do you dislike? There's not a ton about Butter that I dislike. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Landing pages, testimonials, faqs, etc.

Once you go headless you just won't go back.

What do you like best? Butter CMS is very easy to use the built-in API client make calling the API a breeze. As an architect, butter cms gives me more flexibility to use the cms as in ways that can not be used in a traditional CMS like WordPress. A good example is hybrid apps, we let parts of the website to be updated by butter (ie. button names, heading, wording for a page) this allows our business to do a change without any downtime to our clients. Also, Butter CMS allows us to build ...

Nothing Matches the Simplicity

What do you like best? Butter CMS was extremely easy to integrate into our Node.js application and the docs made everything clear. The interface/UI was easy to use and packed with enough features to act as an excellent blogging platform. Post/Page data was always lightning fast to load. The support was always friendly and helpful. What do you dislike? The pricing tiers may not match all use cases. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? ...

Well rounded product

What do you like best? Butter is a very useful product all around. Their documentation is easy to follow and has guides for many different environments. Their information hierarchy is pretty clear and adapts well to most websites -- Pages (website pages), Blog Posts (blog posts), and Collections (collections of objects you define). The collections in particular are very flexible for a wide variety of uses. I've only had good interactions with support. They have separate api ...

Excellent software for copywriters

What do you like best? A great CMS platform - easy to navigate and great for freelancers and remote staff. Everything lives in one place for all involved to see. Just drop in draft to get immediate results on how to maximize copy for SEO and targeted audience. What do you dislike? No complaints. No bells and whistles - if that is something you are looking for. Straight forward. Recommendations to others considering the product: Definitely give it a try ! What problems are you ...

User friendly headless CMS

What do you like best? ButterCMS gives the flexibility to decouple from the traditional cms workflow. For me, this provides the ability for a more rapid development cycle and the ability to present multiple front-end designs using the same page data. Also, having the ability to integrate with any additional software is a breeze when using ButterCMS. You are no longer locked into a specific set of plugins/technologies or integrations that a more traditional CMS would provide. A very ...

New User's Experience

What do you like best? I like the simplicity of ButterCMS. I used many platforms before and ButterCMS is the easiest to use as far as I know. Especially formatting texts such as font, text size, heading...etc is so flexible and I do not have to be limited by the given options. What do you dislike? Setting up takes time, but once you set up everything, it will go smoothly. Also, if it would be perfect if we can decide the space between the rows. For the technical writers, the size of ...

A simple yet flexible platform - highly recommend!

What do you like best? We primarily use butter for marketing purposes, using it for content growth. The best thing about Butter is that it's easy to stand up (transition speed was key for us). Furthermore, we like how the foundational elements of pages can be changed over time seamlessly. This was reassuring, knowing that we could make fast decisions early on and iterate as our content/marketing strategy shifted. What do you dislike? To fully leverage Butter you need to be or have ...

Lets our marketing team create content which frees up our devs to work on new features.

What do you like best? The intuitive WYSIWYG interface makes it easy for users to create and update the blogs whenever they need to. What do you dislike? Image management was a little tedious. We store some of our images on S3 buckets and when trying to upload an image from a link, it would save the image as an audio file instead of as an image. Also you are only allowed one feature image. Would be nice to have an option for something like a banner image as well as a hero image. ...

Super easy, quick-start tool

What do you like best? It was so easy to start using and publishing blog posts. Took less than an hour! What do you dislike? The standard design isn't great, but they've got a robust github with css files for customization. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Wanted a blog on our website to drive engagement and inbound. They helped do that easily.
