Customizable with great data quality
What do you like best? Brandwatch is a digital analyst's bread and butter. The tool provides great value at an affordable cost. The ability to automate the segmentation of data by topic and category makes it a powerful tool that can be customized to fit any brand's needs. Its advanced Boolean operators are more sophisticated than other tools such as Radian6 and Tracx, which really helps to target key conversations. What do you dislike? Learning to use the tool will take some time ...

4/5 performance
What do you like best? The ability to train the tool on how to categorize sentiment. This gives Crimson Hexagon an advantage over the other great tool, Radian 6, which as far as I know only uses an algorithm to categorize posts into sentiment buckets. However, the results you get from crimson hexagon depend entirely on your ability to anticipate language patterns. None of these tools is accurate enough on sentiment. If you are looking for full proof analysis of your social media sphere, ...

One of the Best Tools for Global Social Listening
What do you like best? A great tool to conduct global listening outside the U.S. Various languages and locations are provided in the setup. Nine foreign languages and a thorough list of locations can be included or excluded in the sample. It's the best out there that I have used, particularly for listening in China, as Weibo (China’s Twitter) is listed in the sources in addition to blogs, forums, etc. What do you dislike? Only one language per monitor is suggested to ensure ...

Worked for a Social Agency who used Crimson Hexagon as a listening tool for making media decisions
What do you like best? Worked extremely well after making decisions as to which content was positive, negative, or neutral. What do you dislike? Someone has to physically sift through content to say whether it was positive, negative, or neutral. To hit stable data, this took hours. Also, using the blogs sometimes pulled in language that wasn't English, making a decision tough. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Trying to use ...

The best social listening and analytics platform
What do you like best? Buzz Monitors: This type of monitor has proven useful when there are major changes in products or services, or when the company appears in the news for various reasons. The buzz monitors enable me to gauge total social volume around the event or change, as well as sentiment and specific customer verbatims. This data is then easily funneled into a one-off report for the respective department in need of the real-time customer reaction. The immediate feedback is ...

Best for Sentimental Analysis
What do you like best? I like the coach-the-tool for sentimental analysis feature. What do you dislike? Tool should incorporate more features for classification and categorization Recommendations to others considering the product: come up very handy when you have to do an analysis focused on sentiment. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Were trying to analyze the historical trend of the social data with focus on ...

Great tool, useful both internally and for clients.
What do you like best? Crimson Hexagon allows you to take massive amounts of information and dissect it about as far as you'd like. Incorporating Crimson data with other data points can produce eye-opening trends, statistics, etc. based on Crimson's variables. What do you dislike? The program has a steep learning curve and is time-consuming when you're training the monitor. Recommendations to others considering the product: If you're an agency, your clients will love the ...

Crimson Hexagon for Social Media Listening and Analysis
What do you like best? CH is by far the heaviest SMMS tool I've used for performing in-depth conversation analysis. It can provide bird's eye views of topics, which you're able to then dive as deep as you'd like to go - down to the individual posts. It also allows for easily automated report generation to help guide strategies and mobilize teams quickly. What do you dislike? The only thing I dislike about the tool is the price. There is no service option for smaller brands or ...

Best Tool for Social Research Insight
What do you like best? The user interface — ForSight Opinion Analysis is shown in many ways. The private and customized dashboard can display the positive/negative sentiment of the topics of choice as well as the volume of mentions. I found this display perfect for taking out and including in presentations. What do you dislike? Not really anything to dislike however, it does a far better job at measuring than it does at listening and monitoring social data. What problems are ...

A solid buzz monitoring solution
What do you like best? Simple dashboarding functionality with a lot of room for customisation. What do you dislike? Packages are limited by number of mentions. This means you can't search for too many popular terms. Recommendations to others considering the product: If you'r after simple, customisable dashboards that you can throw into reports or share with your client, then BrandWatch is for you. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you ...
