What do you like best about Bitly? Being one of the longest around om the URL-shorter market bitly keeps improving and developing its shortener. It's also the most recognised shortner URL with a wide integration base with other programs. Also, their browser extension to quickly create links works flawlessly. Plus, it's easy to connect your own domain name.

Deceptive Greedy Company Out to Scam Customers! Beware!
I used qr-code-genrator dot com (which is acquired by Bitly) to generate a free QR code. When I generated the code it was free and there was no mention that it was only free for a 14 day trial period. Now I get an email saying my QR code is deactivated and I have to pay $120 a year to reactivate it. No thank you, I will have to reprint my business cards but it's better than giving this company money.

This is the worse company ever
What a the worse company ever. They don't comply with GDPR. Their emails that I receive everyday don't even include a link to unsubscribe. They are the biggest spammer ever. They should be blocked and people working for this company should be ashamed of themselves!

Truly terrible service
Truly terrible service. Their plans are confusingly written. I signed up thinking I could use 2 QR codes per month, but after paying $60, I discovered it was only 2 per year. This crucial information was buried in the legal section. So, effectively, the price is $30 per QR code. On top of that, their customer service is awful. No one responds, and after submitting multiple tickets, I received a generic response before they closed the ticket.

DO NOT USE Bitly QR code generator
Only needed 1 QR code generated for a poster at work. Went with Bitly as the add was very much highlighting the fact I could create codes for free (at least during the trial period) and because it seemed to be a reputable company. After 2 weeks however and before the poster event at work, Bitly has disabled my QR code and it basically holding me to ransom for a minimum yearly fee of approx. €100 if I want to re-activate my one QR code. Ridiculous! Wish I had gone with the Adobe QR code ...
