Strong Project Management Tool
What do you like best? Have used Basecamp in multiple scenarios. Many vendors I've worked with (marketing automation, web design, etc have used Basecamp to manage implementation and ongoing projects. More recently I've used it with co-workers as a resource of institutional knowledge / Q&A. In each scenario, the product was very helpful and easy to use. What do you dislike? Nothing. Recommendations to others considering the product If you're looking for a tool to manage simple ...

Difficult to Organize, Lacking Interation
What do you like best? Basecamp allows you to assign tasks to individual users and group them within projects. Visually, the platform is user-friendly. What do you dislike? Unfortunately, grouping tasks into projects in this manner is not always the most intuitive. In my business, the overlapping of these projects can make organization in this manner very challenging. Additionally, it is easy for projects to pile up and get lost in Basecamp. What business problems are you solving ...

Projects + Tasks + Calendar + FIles + Users - Timesheet
What do you like best? Very robust Project management tools and navigation is made very simple. I can create todo, event or upload file or Project easily. The latest posts are updated in real time like how twitter does it. What do you dislike? As my title says, you can see what is missing. They offer third party tools for time tracking too. I found that the Project settings has only one option. It's better that they display that option in the project dashboard itself. No need for an ...

Great project management tool, but probably not for every type of business
What do you like best? Ease of use. Nothing holds back your team and clients more than having to learn in long and confusing process to use a tool. Basecamp is excellent in tackling that, most users will be able to contribute after 5-10 minutes walk through the interface. What do you dislike? It is not flexible enough when you need to work on more extensive project and time schedule. Recommendations to others considering the product If you have a small or medium sized business and ...

Basecamp helps organized, but wish it was better for file sharing
What do you like best? I like the messaging system - its been great for helping us keep track of a communication across a team of 3 co-founders and 4 contractors, across 3 time zones. What do you dislike? I wish the calendar function was better. It would have been nice if we can add descriptions and more info into a calendar date. Also, it didn't always update quickely with our google calendar. I also wish the file sharing was better, e.g. something like DropBox meets Google Docs ...

Powerful all-purpose project management tool.
What do you like best? The simplicity of the Basecamp interface allows teams to collaborate efficiently without wasting time learning how the core functions work. For basic tasks - group communication, assigning action items, uploading documents - Basecamp is virtually self-explanatory, which means no steep learning curve for newbees that I bring onto new projects. What do you dislike? The search function is surprisingly lackluster. Search results are not categorized in a meaningful ...

Single-source project management
What do you like best? Basecamp makes it easy to find all the pieces of my projects at a glance. The calendar function is not as user-friendly as you would expect. Recommendations to others considering the product Basecamp offers a wide variety of features that can take some time to get used to. Small Firm Tool
What do you like best? Basecamp is affordable and can be adjusted to fit the needs of a small firm. I've used this in multiple organizations and it always seemed to fit our needs, however it could be difficult for team collaboration. What do you dislike? Collaboration could be difficult due to the fact that users must download documents to view and there is no annotation control. Recommendations to others considering the product Use in conjunction with other 37 signals products to ...
