Works really well if you use it. If you don't use it, everything falls apart.
What do you like best? Basecamp 3 now has the ability to assign more than one person to a task, which can be very useful, but if this feature is used wrong by those managing a project, it can leave the people assigned to a project wondering if it's assigned to them or the other person. I like that they added assignment sorting by due date since that's more useful to me more of the time than sorting by project. What do you dislike? Basecamp 3 no longer has a company page to see everyone ...

Not the right fit for the work we do.
What do you like best? It made it easy to work with a developer that was working remotely. All the files related to the project were in one place so that was great. What do you dislike? Our internal team didnt find it very useful. We used it for about a month and stopped. I can see it being great for team projects but we have a lot of different departments of one so it just wasn't helpful. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? It ...

Fun Interface, Easy To Use
What do you like best? I've used other collaboration tools in the past, but I always thought that they were too over-complicated for what they were trying to do. Basecamp, on the other hand, has a simple, fun interface that is incredibly easy to use. While competing websites often make their interfaces cold and all about business, Basecamp's friendly interface is wonderful as it takes your mind off the fact that you're working. What do you dislike? Basecamp sends a few too many emails ...

Great tool for organized project management
What do you like best? Organized, categorized work streams to manage projects and deadlines in a simple manner. What do you dislike? Often the notifications are too frequent and not necessary for every team member involved in a project. Recommendations to others considering the product Make sure that your entire team is onboarded to Basecamp's functionality prior to deploying for a group project,. Basecamp, for my business, means I don't need a project manager. Because it is my project manager.
What do you like best? Basecamp eliminates the potential for any uncertainties between team members. Everyone is accountable and responsible for what they're working on. Deadlines are crystal clear. And all of our information is in ONE place. What do you dislike? I wish that people who use Basecamp 2 could automatically migrate data to Basecamp 3. I wish I could leave another person's Basecamp without them getting a notification email. I also wish Basecamp sent less email "summaries" ...

Shared Project & Task Management Beginner Superstar
What do you like best? This project does an excellent job of managing what tasks you have and due dates. It is simple which is great for someone just using their a task management software for the first time. What do you dislike? It's too difficult to figure out how to install different widgets to get added features. I wish they were just part of Basecamp. An easy way to track time to tasks and projects would be beneficial. User-friendly and Well Organized
What do you like best? I began using Basecamp when a client of ours wanted to use it to communicate back and forth. At the beginning of utilizing it, I thought it was a bit confusing. I was use to using Highrise and there were multiple parts of it that we a bit hard to comprehend. Maybe I should have looked for a tutorial rather than trying to jump right in? Probably. However, with more and more communications going back and forth, it became easy to comprehend. It's nice having the ...
