This program was def created by someone who actually had the need to better organize their team.
What do you like best? I have used so many times of project management tools out there, and my absolute favorite has been Basecamp. My favorite feature, and the most useful from an agency perspective, is the calendar feature. I really like how my calendar of tasks can be shared with the team and how we can then add different notes with the corresponding projects. Compared to Asana and Jira, I feel Basecamp is the most agency friendly, and also affordable. What do you dislike? The ...

Great project and client management tool
What do you like best? What I like best is the new feature allowing users to request approval from a client so that it can be officially "on the record". It's great that you can assign tasks to others and set due dates. I like that Basecamp keeps track of all activity so that if you are away, you are able to go back and easily see the activity by day and item. I enjoy that it integrates with Google Drive and Docs so that I can link to a file rather than uploading it here in another ...

Simple Easy to Use Collaboration Tool
What do you like best? It is a real simple to use group collaboration tool. It has helped my company become more efficient and improved our output. We also use it to post issues and project info for our offshore customer service groups. What do you dislike? It is a little too simple when compared with other options out there on the market and it is a little old fashioned looking. Recommendations to others considering the product If you need a group setting for collaboration, I have ...

Project Management for mere mortals
What do you like best? Basecamp is a streamlined, low-friction tool for coordinating complex activities among a distributed group of people. I ran my startup on it, and continue to use it for projects with my church and community. It has a small set of well-designed features that make it easy to focus on what's most important, with virtually no setup time. They also integrate with email and other services where appropriate. I also love their "no orphan" policy, where existing versions ...

Organizing Our Chaos
What do you like best? What is truly great about Basecamp is how well it organizes the different aspects of our business and those responsible in those areas. For example, we have created a Basecamp for Marketing, Operations, Customer Service and more. Being someone who is involved in more than just one segment of our business, Basecamp allows me to easily tackle everything in any given segment at my own pace. If I don't see a message until the next day, it's fine. It doesn't get buried ...

Love/Hate Relationship
What do you like best? I like having somewhere outside of emails and group messages where I can get in touch with the various people I work with and touch base regarding projects. I like that you can have a different thread for every project. That said, some companies I have worked with disable notifications, so you have to be in Basecamp 24/7 to see if something new has happened. What do you dislike? Like I already mentioned, it can be annoying with the notifications disabled - but ...

Super intuitive project management for personal or professional use!
What do you like best? Its easy-to-use user interface makes it easy for even your most non-technically inclined team members to participate in group project planning without a massive training session. Pretty much people can just jump right in and get going. What do you dislike? Slightly cumbersome getting between multiple basecamp projects. Needs a few more shortcuts for the highly skilled team members to move quickly through the interface structure. Keyboard shortcuts would be ...

Great for file sharing and discussion
What do you like best? Very cool that you can make posts with attachments and also choose who you would like to receive a notifications about your post or no one at all. There is also the option to include someone in your post notification that does not currently belong to the project that your post is in. Document version control is excellent What do you dislike? Searching for documents and posts is cumbersome. When your company has been established with base camp for a long time, ...

Basecamp makes working in teams so much easier
What do you like best? Basecamp makes it easy to assign tasks, share files and documents, keep track of to-do lists, and syncs across all my devices. It also looks really good. I have multiple projects managed using basecamp and have converted many project collaborators into Basecamp fans. I have even created a project to manage my personal life tasks. : It also has cool features such as automatic check-ins with your team, and daily activity summaries sent to your inbox. What do you ...

Simple and easy
What do you like best? Responsibilities and due dates. It's super clean and the UX is fantastic. Couldn't be easier to use - and that urges all of our team members to use it. Not difficult to learn. What do you dislike? More formatting in comments and sub bullets. I feel handcuffed by the minimal formatting capabilities on comments. Sub bullets and subtasks would be helpful on To-Do lists as well. Recommendations to others considering the product Keep it simple and internal. I'd not ...
