Basecamp pros and cons

  • Simple, user-friendly interface that is intuitive even for beginners, making it easy for teams to adopt and use efficiently.

  • Centralizes all project information, including documents, tasks, and communications, enabling seamless collaboration and organization.

  • Strong team collaboration tools, including real-time communication, task assignments, and notifications to keep everyone aligned.

  • Highly effective for remote and hybrid teams, allowing easy management of tasks and communication across distances.

Basecamp 2 Is A Great Tool

What do you like best? You can see all your to-dos in one central location and sort them by due date. What do you dislike? As far as the sorting goes for due dates, I wish I could sort it even more, down to the specific date. Recommendations to others considering the product Avoid Basecamp 3. It is much more confusing to use than Basecamp 2. As Basecamp offers you the ability to use whichever version, I say stick with Basecamp 2. What business problems are you solving with the ...

Basecamp 2 has some great features, but Basecamp 3 is a struggle.

What do you like best? I really like that you can actually check things off of a list. There is a certain sense of gratification in the ability to do that. (Basecamp 2 I like that all of the files that you upload get added under your name so you have the ability to see all the files that you have done and can look through them without having to go to a specific project. I also like that when you upload a file into a task it automatically gets added to the files on that particular project. ...

Everyday to communicate with team on projects and store final files.

What do you like best? Easy to find past decisions on a topic matter. What do you dislike? User-error: If a note does not apply to the audience, the writer doesn't remember to add/delete them from the note. As such, some get way too many basecamp notes in their inbox and thus ignore them all. Across the company, projects are set up differently with different thread names. If you work across projects, it can be an organized mess to keep it all straight and easily find what you need. ...

Project Manager

What do you like best? I really love the simplicity of the features. I love the minimalist approach, it way less confusing. I like that I can schedule meeting dates in the program to keep my whole team on the same page. What do you dislike? I would like the colors to pop a bit more and the design to have a more material design look. The program it ripe for a refresh. Not changing the functionality but just a face life. Making little changes that make it look a little fresher. What ...

Basecamp is our agency hub!

What do you like best? I love pretty much everything about Basecamp. From the ability to immediately ping someone if I need them ASAP, to the ability to keep detailed lists. I use my to-do lists to move our clients through our sales funnel, each list representing a different funnel. I also love being able to easily assign tasks and deadlines to different contractors. What do you dislike? I wish that there as a built in calendar instead of having to sync with my google or IOS ...
