BIM360 - a good, evolving collaboration platform
What do you like best? Revit file collaboration is seamless. Also, since it is cloud based, it is constantly being upgraded and improved. I also like the "issues" feature, which allows my entire team to see the status of model updates and centralize communication around that update so everyone can see what's being discussed. 3D views look pretty good, and I like that you can publish your drawing sheets when you publish the model so you can get a quick look at all the changes being made ...

Promising but buggy
What do you like best? There's a lot of promise. Super interested in the model coordination and how that can help streamline the process as well as change visualizations and having an easy way to coordinate across disciplines. What do you dislike? Still very buggy and missing key features. Lots of times I logged into the platform and had to restart my session to get things to show up. Missing features such as printing a PDF set and automating publishing. What problems are you ...

Bim360 is a great tool for single users as well as project teams
What do you like best? The ability to see and share files between team and project members. Being able to open and view both 2d and 3d files out in the field is great for both the office and field staff. What do you dislike? Can be confusing to set up and if the project coordinator does not create the project correctly, it can cause major issues. Recommendations to others considering the product: It is a great services as long as it is set up and implemented properly. I ...

Useful but expensive.

Recommendations to others considering the product: Bring your wallet. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Team coordination between remote offices.

BIM 360 is the future. Unfortunatley, Autodesk tends to debug these applications on the fly
What do you like best? I like the collaborative aspects of BIM360 - being able to see live models and link in different file types. Publishing and relinquishing other users is a big positive. The real-time work is the future of this industry. It just sucks that Autodesk went from Skyscraper, to A360 to BIM360 to BIM360 Design with out ever really explaining what was happening. There was a huge learning curve for such a *simple* application. I wish Autodesk did not flush out problems when ...

Pretty good but lacks some helpful features
What do you like best? Working cloud without needing to buy server What do you dislike? Linking a consultant's model requires an upload to "collaboration". Would be much easier if you could just upload to document management What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Able to work with co workers on same file

Good collaboration, but should be built into AEC Collection cost
What do you like best? Cloud collaboration in real time. No more waiting for updates from other trades What do you dislike? The additional cost, per user, per year. Recommendations to others considering the product: Try it with trust. you must trust your project team, but it is a timesaver. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Real time collaboration, and time saving on updating models.

The Flexibility and Coordination capabilities is a time and money saver!
What do you like best? I like the functionality of being able to continually have the most up to date model to work on and not have to ask that one be sent to me. The automatic model updates are the best. The offline web access is really nice it does need a bit of explanation but once you get it you will see it works really well. What do you dislike? You have to have the exact version down to the build number of the host file to see it. Recommendations to others considering the ...
