Assembla a true friend
What do you like best? Assembla a set of default tools, a space for all your code and much more. The best part for me as a developer is inline updates for tickets and stories. What do you dislike? When we scroll horizontally header flikers. It really irritates. and yes its downtime. I experienced it many times. the color theme is horrendous. Recommendations to others considering the product: Assembla is a set of tools and services developed to speed up software development ...

Great project management tool
What do you like best? I appreciate the volume of information we can track in Assembla - we can add any kind of metadata we need to track and sort our projects. We can track every date a project has, should, or didn't pass, every person who has touched a project, all of the project data, and more. The visualization tools are also very powerful, even if the number of fields we need to see can cause Assembla to get a bit overloaded. What do you dislike? I wish organization was a ...

And it is a great integration tool for multiple and parallel coders. What do you dislike? As middler label nothing is disliked, Evey thing is good to handle for beginner, middle label experts What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Productive
What do you like best? It's secure and easy to control. Good view of source control and merge requests. What do you dislike? Neet to improve project management modules. Could be more fluid. Search needs to be improved. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? The team is more productive having information on one tool.

Easy ticket and code management
What do you like best? Ticket management is streamlined, assigning tickets to users is intuitive, @user mentions in comments are also displayed in the user's home screen. Server-side hooks (no commit without an open ticket) are having Templates for basic cases, which can be tuned. SVN integration drills down from Ticket to commit to code file and back, covering 60% of what an SVN client would have, but without having to switch to one (some users don't even bother maintaining an ...

It works, but there's a lot of room for improvement
What do you like best? Assembla combines project management, code management, issue tracking, time tracking, wiki, and other features to a level that may only be rivaled by GitHub. What do you dislike? In general nothing is polished nearly as well as competitor solutions. Assembla's support has addressed some of the quirks for us upon request, but we don't really have time to QA their software for them by pointing out all the oddities we see. Also, page loads can be slow... They ...

Often recommends to my clients
What do you like best? Integrated ticket and repository, with both seamlessly integrated it makes it easy to manage tickets and code repos. What do you dislike? Ticket management could be easier, but I do need to explore upgrades that have been made like card walls and such. Recommendations to others considering the product: Start out with minimal tools like tickets and repos, then add more like wikis and such. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits ...

Good for Game Dev
What do you like best? I like that Assembla takes the stress and security of administrating source control off my shoulders while providing additional tools that are helpful for game development. What do you dislike? I had some initial problems with billing but the Assembla team sorted it out after I called. Recommendations to others considering the product: Give the Perforce trial a try. Spin up of a space is much faster than self hosting. What problems are you solving ...

Great online tool for a flexible workplace
What do you like best? Ease of finding info on old jobs, and tracking communication and timing etc. Also, love using the sub tickets as the checklist for each project to see on the side a quick view of the status of each part of the project, and love having one image shown on quick view on cardwall - great for visual people. What do you dislike? Some parts feel a bit manual, like adding time, and only accurate if staff keep it up to date but it keeps updating and getting better ...
