Nearly Nails Excel

What do you like best? Mimics the most important functions well. Effortlessly syncs with iCloud. A true, dedicated number system. Apple’s Office suite is also pretty. What do you dislike? Does not retain 1:1 functionality w/ Microsoft Excel. This is a major disadvantage for 70% of people who use this type of software as they now must relearn formulas. Recommendations to others considering the product: Great if you’re not a Microsoft XL junky What problems are you ...

Apple Numbers Perfect For Non-Functional Excel Users On Mac

What do you like best? Apple Numbers is beautifully presented and if you need to export to Excel format it's easily done. What do you dislike? For me personally, Numbers doesn't have the same mathematical functionality as Excel which it has to be most closely compared with. This is essentially down to the fact that Excel has had a monopoly on the market and provides industry standard functions, making it difficult to adapt. Same functions or a ghost XL function would be ideal. ...

A bit difficult to get used to.

What do you like best? I am an huge fan of Apple and thus the fact that Numbers is created by Apple is the primary reason I use this software. Asides from the above, Numbers loads faster than Microsoft Excel . I like the templates made available to users like myself and thus I do not always have to start creating spreadsheets from scratch every time I am working on personal budgets. What do you dislike? Coming from a background of using Microsoft Excel for a long time,I ...

It's like an easy excel with a lot of templates

What do you like best? A lot of easy to use templates to use for situations I actually encounter, for example when we are having a meeting we track the attendance of our team members and there is a template included in Numbers that help us with that, with an easy to mark checklist. What do you dislike? It's a nice to have tool with extra functions that are easy to use, but in no way is a good replacement for excel. Recommendations to others considering the product: It's a ...

Sleek, but needs work on usability

What do you like best? Numbers is very sleek, which is par for the course with Apple. It's also great how it is preloaded with templates for certain tasks such as a financial budget. What do you dislike? I'm very used to Excel and the functionality Microsoft uses. There is indeed a learning curve when it comes to Numbers if you are used to Microsoft. Functions are slightly different and it's sometimes difficult to adjust the populated templates. Recommendations to others ...

Great for non power users.

What do you like best? Numbers is so much easier to use and work with than Microsoft Excel. The layout is much cleaner and lets you design the document with greater ease. What do you dislike? I dont mind, but, it doenst support macros or pivot tables if that is a need you have. Recommendations to others considering the product: Hands down, the easiest spreadsheet software to learn and use. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? ...
