Appian as a productivity tool, review

What do you like best? Smoothness of developer experience. Built-in tips, context sensitive help and Ecosystem support are great. What do you dislike? - Proprietary, lack of migration tools to open source products and tools or other cots vendor tools. - Serious coding skills unique to Appian are required to produce most real-world applications. Recommendations to others considering the product: App Ian is great for business, time to produce working useful ...

A best BPM tool I've used so far!

What do you like best? The ease of designing the business processes and then simply configuring them to make it work is the best thing I can say. Community is very rich and helpful. There's everything documented properly and it's very easy to pick Appian as a new developer. I started with the development last year and now, I play a vital role in my team. All thanks to Appian! What do you dislike? I've got just one word for this: NOTHING! Recommendations to others considering the ...

One app can do so much

What do you like best? The ease of use. The modelling flow chart to model process flow diagrammatically instead having to write line after line after line of code. I like how you can pretty much create any process type application for so many industries. I can see it being used in totally different industries from healthcare to education to inventory type systems. What do you dislike? The one downside is that I have to learn a little bit of coding. The SAIL language is not too bad ...

Scalable Automated Workflows

What do you like best? The Appian suite allows for swift delivery in business value. What would take weeks or months to deliver in a legacy ERP system takes days in Appian. What do you dislike? Since Appian is a suite, it has many tools to solve your business process needs. That being said, if you consistently need features outside of Appian the platform and their marketplace does not have a Java plugin for you, you may want to consider going with a different suite or strategy for ...

Low Code - great product - robust

What do you like best? I like using the process modeler to map out the work flow; also like being able to test the UI forms when creating them. Also - although I had learned from the early days - how to create forms using just SAIL, the drag and drop components that have evolved over the years really do make it easy for new developers. What do you dislike? Although the quarterly updates usually have some great enhancements, it's cumbersome to have to do regression testing every ...

Best workflow tool and well suited for enterprise applications

What do you like best? All the out of box functionality will reduce the overall time to create/build any applications. We can build applications in weeks. What do you dislike? Appian is having most of the capabilities built-in I would like to see if they focus more on performance. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? All the worklflow related problems and integration with the other systems are seamless with appian last but not lease ...

Appian is the present and most probably future

What do you like best? Easy to learn and very fast in terms of time to market What do you dislike?
