Amazon takes your relational database to the cloud

What do you like best? Mostly the bulk of the data is stored in Relational Databases and now since everything is moving to the cloud. Amazon has become a pioneer in the cloud platform already with AWS and now Amazon has taken the RDS system to the cloud as well with Aurora. Amazon Aurora is essentially PostgreSQL and MySQL compatible relational database engine for the cloud. SO much better than original RDS

What do you like best? Unlimited scalable storage, easy resizing of cluster size, easy cross region replication, easy failover to read-only nodes. What do you dislike? It does not support SQL Server or TSQL. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Replaced an aging MySQL rds infrastructure with Aurora.

What do you like best? I love the fact that Aurora has performance advantages over MySQL and I didn't have to learn anything new to be able to use my existing MySQL code. That's a win-win for me.
