Excellent help desk!

Whenever I have a problem, I can always call their help desk and they are very helpful walking me through whatever process I need.

Alexandria is a very friendly system. I have very few problems with the software itself. I do wish that it was a little more integrated with other systems that we use as a school. It would also be very helpful if it were more accessible outside of our server. Sometimes this causes issues with mobility.

Easy To Use

Alexandria is easy to use for checking out and book drops. When adding books scan the UPC and it will align with the Library of Congress and add the information on the book. Students can be added by uploading a spreadsheet. It has easy to follow tutorials. The only problem I have it is difficult to export books then to import to another school in our account.

Alexandria is a good system to use, especially for a high school

I have only been using Alexandria for two years, but have had an excellent experience with them. Before this program, I used Horizon for over ten years. The transition was pretty seemless, considering how different the systems are. I am still learning new tricks for Alexandria, but the limited interaction I've had with the customer service representatives has been very productive. (I usually just look up the query in the book. This program is well worth the money, allows you to automate your entire library, easy to use for basic things.

Alexandria has many options. Once learned, it can be very resourceful in keeping track of your library records.

So many features, So little time

I am not officially trained as a Librarian/Media Specialist, but have 11 years experience as a Library Aide. Since I have started using Alexandria, I have been the only person, volunteering in our school library. So, I am forced to learn as I go. Sometimes it is easy to find the tool, report, etc. that I am looking for other times, not so much. Great experience!

Alexandria is intuitive, quick, and simple to teach to staff. The generated reports are amazing and very useful for collection evaluation. Customer help/service has always been very responsive.
