"Ableton Live"

What do you like best about Ableton Live? Ableton Live's greatest feature has got to be the session view. Creating loops is super easy and allows you to let your creativity flow without the hinderance of technical speed bumps. It allows for improvisation and a more intuitive workflow. It's a different way to create songs by arranging in chunks of material and triggering them to the beat, as it feels right rather than forcing the progression in one linear way (versus the arrangement view). ...

"I just love Ableton! What else can I say ;-) "

What do you like best about Ableton Live? Workflow is truly great, a ton of awesome valuable tools and abundance of options to work with. What do you dislike about Ableton Live? I wish it worked a little bit faster at times and did not crash at all. Also, it certainly lacks some of those very cool new improved features that BitWig has. The workflow could be also improved in order to propel your work forward and make it faster to use and learn. Recommendations to others considering Ableton ...

"The best production and performance environment for electronic music"

What do you like best about Ableton Live? The flow of creation is excellent, the integration with their own Push custom hardware is extremely good and intuitive and the clip and session view modes help you to bounce from an improvisational workflow to a structured production workflow very easily. Some of the integrated instruments produce excellent sounds and the presets are very usable since the beginning and give a good foundation for starting a project. What do you dislike about Ableton ...

"A perfect piece of software for making electronic music"

What do you like best about Ableton Live? It is a very convenient program when it comes to making electronic music and mixing it in the box. Its 2 layouts are a big advantage to exploit when it comes to playing your tracks live or while making said music. Its built in audio effects and instruments are always a good starting point when making music. What do you dislike about Ableton Live? When it comes to professional mixing or other tasks like sound design or film scoring there are way ...

"Ableton: A review"

What do you like best about Ableton Live? The effects and the east in composing something What do you dislike about Ableton Live? The lack of customization of the windows. There should be more layout options like Adobe has. That way you can have your own tool sets, windows, and workflows. It crashes. A LOT. Recommendations to others considering Ableton Live: Spend some time with it. It is a very deep program. What problems is Ableton Live solving and how is that benefiting you? How to make ...

"One Of the Best Choices For New Artists."

What do you like best about Ableton Live? Are you serious? There are too many great ones if not the program itself; it's like saying what's your best feature of life. We are all great at more than one thing, I would have to say the program itself. I don't believe in judging people's capacity on what they can achieve, because it's truly unpredictable. What do you dislike about Ableton Live? The only thing I disapprove of is making it more complex than it needs to be. A writing apparatus, ...

"A great piece of software with versatile capabilities"

What do you like best about Ableton Live? Ableton is a deep program with a ton of possibilities. I love that it is both a timeline based DAW, and also a performance tool, making it easy to experiment, capture the results and then lay them out linearly. MaxForLive offers integration with Max/MSP/Jitter, giving endless possibilities for audio and video production. What do you dislike about Ableton Live? There's a pretty steep learning curve which can deter new users. Recommendations to others ...

"Powerful and intuitive"

What do you like best about Ableton Live? The best feature of the software, in my opinion, is the simplicity of the interface: powerful editing tools in a clean and simple display. What do you dislike about Ableton Live? I've lost a lot of instrument after the upgrade and I'm not able to find it... Recommendations to others considering Ableton Live: It's a versatile software, I suggest to use it with MaxForLive for best results. What problems is Ableton Live solving and how is that ...
