"The Best DAW out there so far!"

What do you like best about Ableton Live? The best thing about Ableton Live is that they never stop developing, there is always some work in the background and new features to be discovered. Further, UI/UX are classic but still the easiest of all the DAWs I tested so far. What do you dislike about Ableton Live? I dislike multiple groups not being groupable again. Recommendations to others considering Ableton Live: Buy it! What problems is Ableton Live solving and how is that benefiting ...

"Very intuitive and creatively freeing software"

What do you like best about Ableton Live? The flexible working modes that are available in Ableton Live. I am able to work linear on a film sound mix or a single song, but also in the DJ loop mode. Also all the effects are great to create new sounds from sound samples that I record myself. What do you dislike about Ableton Live? Some short cuts and functions to make it easier to work on film sound mixing could be improved. Also I am working with a digital pen instead of a mouse, the ...

"Ableton and the creative workflow"

What do you like best about Ableton Live? Though many DAWs are trying to reach the same basic goals in functionality, they are all suited for specific tasks. Pro Tools will always be my editing station, Logic for film composition. For the most joyful sense of creating something, whether on the fly ideas or complete compositions, nothing feels quite as good as Ableton. While I have jumped between many DAWs over the years, I always feel a sense of comfort and home when I'm using Live. For a ...

"My favorite DAW for everyday work"

What do you like best about Ableton Live? I like the possibility to changeover between two different modes (Session View and Arrangement). Love included plug ins, mostly EQ, Compressor, Simpler, Utility, Reverb and my favorite Filter delay. It contains great operator synth which i use regularly and massive sound library. You don't need third party plug ins at all to start making music. I like session mode to play live sets. Ableton's internal resources is enough to solve complex sound ...

"Ableton Live"

What do you like best about Ableton Live? Ableton Live's greatest feature has got to be the session view. Creating loops is super easy and allows you to let your creativity flow without the hinderance of technical speed bumps. It allows for improvisation and a more intuitive workflow. It's a different way to create songs by arranging in chunks of material and triggering them to the beat, as it feels right rather than forcing the progression in one linear way (versus the arrangement view). ...

"I just love Ableton! What else can I say ;-) "

What do you like best about Ableton Live? Workflow is truly great, a ton of awesome valuable tools and abundance of options to work with. What do you dislike about Ableton Live? I wish it worked a little bit faster at times and did not crash at all. Also, it certainly lacks some of those very cool new improved features that BitWig has. The workflow could be also improved in order to propel your work forward and make it faster to use and learn. Recommendations to others considering Ableton ...

"The best production and performance environment for electronic music"

What do you like best about Ableton Live? The flow of creation is excellent, the integration with their own Push custom hardware is extremely good and intuitive and the clip and session view modes help you to bounce from an improvisational workflow to a structured production workflow very easily. Some of the integrated instruments produce excellent sounds and the presets are very usable since the beginning and give a good foundation for starting a project. What do you dislike about Ableton ...

"Ableton Live is the DAW i've been using since 2005, one i'm very happy with. "

What do you like best about Ableton Live? the session view is the one thing that made Live different and therefore was its biggest advantage over all the other timeline-style sequencers. there's something very intuitive and free in the way it allows works to come together, from loose, sketchy "ideas" to full compositions. What do you dislike about Ableton Live? if your compositions are not necessarily loop based (i.e. electronic dance music), you'd find Live somewhat inflexible, same goes ...

"Ableton: A review"

What do you like best about Ableton Live? The effects and the east in composing something What do you dislike about Ableton Live? The lack of customization of the windows. There should be more layout options like Adobe has. That way you can have your own tool sets, windows, and workflows. It crashes. A LOT. Recommendations to others considering Ableton Live: Spend some time with it. It is a very deep program. What problems is Ableton Live solving and how is that benefiting you? How to make ...
