FineReader 15 is a great product

What do you like best? The OCR accuracy is great and it's very easy to use. What do you dislike? The "text editing" area could be more flexible. Sometimes it's hard to get things looking the way you want as far as layout. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We use ABBYY FineReader PDF 15 for OCR in a very busy disability services office. Students benefit greatly from how quick and easy it is to use, and we can turn around accessible ...

Convert pdf to many other files.

Describe the project or task the product helped with: Currently I manage a team that must convert documents and in addition to that generate reports of this, thanks to Abbyy this work is simpler and extremely fast and complete at all times. What do you like best? Thanks to abbyy I can convert my files with the scanner, it is a non-portable program with which you scan a document and you already have its edition available, with many of the tools offered by office and even more ...

FineReader saves me a lot of time in extracting data and assembling documents

What do you like best? As an engineer I often need to extract data from tables found in books and even magazines. FineReader will accurately extract the data from a scan of the table, saving me a tremendous amount of time in putting them into an excel spreadsheet. Additionally, I write a lot of test protocols and reports that require assembling documents from word, excel and other formats. FineReader makes it very easy to do. What do you dislike? I don't really have anything I ...

Excellent OCR tool

What do you like best? was able to scan in 1,000 pages of manuscripts straight into Word for editing. Marvelous! What do you dislike? Few to zero downsides to this program. They've done a great job. Industry standard for a reason. Recommendations to others considering the product: OCR home use, auto feed scanner, if your document is already printed then this OCR seems to do the job and allows you to scan straight to Word. Very accurate even with multiple languages

What do you like best? I like that it can go directly to Word and other applications that I use frequently. What do you dislike? Having to pay for newer versions, it's a shame to pay again for the same product that I've been using for years. Yes the upgrade is discounted but not enough. Recommendations to others considering the product: Very good but expensive What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? It speeds up things. I don't need ...

Much better replacement for Adobe Acrobat DC

What do you like best? Best OCR (including excellent automatically inserted headings), enormous flexibiility to make all kinds of edits, and comparison of two pdf documents works much better than Acrobat's version. The printer function has many more options than most printer apps. I greatly appreciate the one-time charge, compared to Acrobat DC's $15 per month charge. What do you dislike? Haven't figured out how to drag pages between two different pdf documents. Haven't found ...

Just what I needed for college

What do you like best? Being able to scan documents and search the text has been invaluable to me as a student. I was able to scan my loose-leaf textbook and use it as an "e-book," searching definitions and such on my computer. Being able to create and edit PDF files, using the screen-shot feature to capture needed graphics and such, has been incredibly useful! What do you dislike? I'd have to say one of the things I dislike about it is that sometimes the "print" is insanely slow. I ...
