Extremely easy to use; only lacking in collaborative ease

What do you like best? Online on-the-go Latex editor; using packages very easy; intuitive interface What do you dislike? The ease of collaborative work. Multiple users editing the same document isnt very trivial. Recommendations to others considering the product: Overleaf is very intuitive. Pros: Your documents are updated online; lots of templates available; great for use across multiple machines Cons: For a very long document, navigating to a section can be cumbersome; ...

One of the best web applications to work with LaTeX documents

What do you like best? The UI / UX is extremely good and fast. The best thing about Overleaf is how it renders PDF of the resulting LaTeX document right away, as soon as code is saved and compiled. This WYSIWYG interface is very helpful. Besides, it has other fantastic features like uploading documents, projects, working on multiple projects at the same time, making it a complete package. One really nifty feature is how it ignores minor errors and still renders documents, making it easier ...

Satisfactory Tool for Collaborative Writing

What do you like best? The live compiling of the latex codes and the user interface. What do you dislike? The free version only allows 2 users to simultaneously write. Recommendations to others considering the product: If you are using Latex to write online then Overleaf is a very good option. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? To keep the writing saved online and collaboratively writing an article.

Overleaf is a life saver

What do you like best? I like the two way sync that overleaf has with dropbox now! And the fact that multiple people can collaboratively work together on the same document. What do you dislike? Sometimes the two-way sync doesn't work. Especially from dropbox to overleaf. Fixing this issue will make it so much better. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We use overleaf for collaboratively writing research papers. The biggest benefit ...

Write your papers and forget about "moving" pics and tables all over your work!

What do you like best? It just took me a while to learn how to use it. It's fabulous how you can easily implement your high-quality pics and tables, and the references without keeping yourself track of them. Overleaf helps you specially in terms of space, since all the information is online. You just upload the information (text, pictures, tables, references) and everything will be just there when loging in. What do you dislike? The way the references are implemented is tricky when ...

Good overall

It's a very nice LaTeX editor, and it works a lot more transparently than most others. Beware, though, that since it's online, you are fully dependent on Overleaf to be up and running. It usually is, of course, but I've had a LOT of 'sorry, could not compile due to server error, try again later'---which is basically like saying 'woopsie, the 500 page dissertation you spent 4 years on does not exist for now'. Other than that, I'm a very satisfied customer, and the paid account is well worth it.

Good way of group editing latex documents

What do you like best? Ability to share and edit by several people without keeping different editions What do you dislike? Figure display at the end of the document, not at the correct places of them Recommendations to others considering the product: Please make the figures in the latex to show at the correct location, not at the end of the document. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? A paper is written using latex
