Minimize Impact

What do you like best? Design and mock APIs at ease. There are many features of this product ranging from design, testing, documenting, and publishing that makes it appealing to many API designers who need to communicate all aspects of evolving an API product. What do you dislike? Design view can be presented better. I like the Read-only view but sometimes when toggling from Read to Design mode, the API endpoints are not grouped in the same way as the Read view so it makes it harder to ...

Best way to document and test an API yet.

What do you like best? Stoplight provides a clean user interface and enables an engineering team to develop a compliant API with minimal difficulty. Other tools don't provide the same details, guard rails, and error validation that Stoplight provides. I can feel that Stoplight is made by API developers for API developers as opposed to either an experienced PM fresh out of college, or a hyper-detailed API wonk for whom working in the flat file itself would be more ideal. What do you ...

Best way to design an API

What do you like best? Stoplight has put an amazing user interface on top of API documentation. Their tools a quick, easy to use, and really well done. Additionally you always have access to view the Swagger data driving the application with is really useful for more technical users. What do you dislike? It was difficult for our team to keep this up to date. A more streamlined integration with AWS API Gateway would have been great (and may exist now I haven't checked. ...

Helping promote API-first design and addressing deficiencies

What do you like best? The collaborative OAS API design features of Stoplight have be extremely valuable in prompting our team to address API deficiencies for several of our services. Teams can be formed and assigned to specific APIs being developed for the organization. The tool itself has enabled our teams to address missing or deficient APIs for several services, and to do so in an OAS compliant way. In most cases, the services were pre-existing but had no (or limited API. Stoplight ...
