Excellent tool for managing translations

PROS: Its interface is intuitive so we never had any difficulty translating content across projects and teams. The translation is reliable and accurate, kudos to the Smartling’s language services team. CONS: We did encountered problems with the solution’s integrations and API in the past. But everything was also fixed in no time. Smartling team is very responsive and prioritize their end user’s concerns all the time.

"Best interface ever"

What do you like best about Smartling? I liked the interface. The bar on the right helps a lot during the translation by providing translation memory and quality assurance. What do you dislike about Smartling? During my recent work Smartling crashed several times. Recommendations to others considering Smartling: A smart interface with high functionalty. It is one of the most fastest web-based translation management system. Sometimes the pace is really important. What problems is Smartling ...

Localization of content has allowed us to effectively relay our message to our target market around the globe.

PROS: The system’s uptime is excellent for almost two years! There is no need to add complex CRM is order to have a localisation layer on the top of our current site. CONS: Nothing. Right now, we are using the GDN product. But there is also an option to use the Drupal native integrations and would love to try it in the future.

It has made my day-to-day life easier

PROS: There are lots of available features but what I really like is its Global Search Function which allows me to search for strings across projects and across language. This capability has been essential to our success. Overall, this tool lets me do everything in one location. I am able to perform translations, manage tasks, track string progress, view what the LSPs are up to, edit the translation memory and push the changes out to all our projects, and many more. It has made my job and ...

"Can't imagine any better way to localize large sites into multiple languages"

What do you like best about Smartling? The content delivery network allows you to maintain a single source site and deliver translated pages to visitors from other languages. This saves us 1000s of hours on content and dev, and lets us centralize localization operations from source content capture to publication. Managing all the localization vendor ops and billing oversight in the platform is a bonus. What do you dislike about Smartling? By its very nature, it pushes you into consistent ...

It allows my colleagues and I to work on translation projects simultaneously and effectively

PROS: It lets me collaborate with our project assigners efficiently. Also, this tool has helped me organized my translation tasks. CONS: The tool only allows you to open one project at a time, making it quite hard to work on multiple projects simultaneously. It would be nice and really helpful if the projects can be opened in separate tabs when you click the “View Project”. This way, we do not have to go back to the tool’s “Projects Dashboard” just to see another project. Not a deal breaker ...

"great tool!"

What do you like best about Smartling? What I like the best is that it keeps improving; I've been using it for nearly 2 years and many new options were added. It memories the oldest uploaded terms. What do you dislike about Smartling? Basically nothing, the question that I have is explained bellow. Recommendations to others considering Smartling: Give it go, it's worth it. It takes shorter to learn. What problems is Smartling solving and how is that benefiting you? The great thing is it ...

"Best platform for collaboration on translation projects "

What do you like best? I love the way Smartling structures my translation tasks and allows me to efficiently collaborate with my projects assigners. What do you dislike? From the "Projects Dashboard", I wish links would actually take to a separate tab once the user clicks on "View Project". That way, the user would be able to progressively complete each project in a separate tab without having to then click to go back to the "Projects Dashboard". No big deal here but just a helpful way for ...
