A Powerful Data Mapper for the Mac

What do you like best? The program comes with templates and the ability the manipulate the data to varying degrees of complexity. The app works across all desktop and ios platforms which is a great when having to make final tweaks to a presentation and not at your desk. What do you dislike? Too many menus to do initial quick and dirty layouts. It would be nice to have a very simple set of tools to create mind maps and connectivity. When starting on a project or idea, the data comes ...

Clunky Mindmapping Software

What do you like best? The prebuilt segments were great and there were a lot of graphics to choose from. What do you dislike? Wifreframing items together was difficult and not intuitive at all. Was very difficult to get lines to connect to icons the way I wanted and they did not connect so anytime I moved an icon I had to redraw the connection. Recommendations to others considering the product: The software has a lot of great assets if you're willing to learn how it works. Not ...

Full featured but dated

What do you like best? Its been around for a long time, its flexible, and is good for wireframing What do you dislike? It feels like legacy software to me but maybe its because design is my first priority, not wireframing. Recommendations to others considering the product: If you're a designer, there are better options more catered to you. If you primarily work with wireframes and diagramming, this is the granddaddy of them all. What problems are you solving with the product? ...

Easy tool to making programming chart and flow chart

What do you like best? iOS template iOS/Mac APP icon Template system What do you dislike? Layout and toolbox is not clear to use, not like Photoshop and Viso Recommendations to others considering the product: It's a good tool can be used to design mobile mockups and icons. But to the flow chart and business logic charts, it's not as easy-to-use and powerful as other tools like LucidChart What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? ...

Not the easiest tool to use, but has great capabilities.

What do you like best? Omnigraffle has a lot of capabilities and features that are valuable when it comes to building wireframes and prototypes in the User Experience design/architecture/research fields. What do you dislike? The tool has a major learning curve in my opinion. It often feels like there are more user-friendly tools with the same capabilities (if not more) that require less learn-time. Recommendations to others considering the product: Take a nod from more recently ...

Good tool for quickly working through ideas.

What do you like best? I've been using it for a long time and can produce layouts pretty quickly. I like all the stencils and grids available. They make my life way easier. There's a lot of support out there for the product. Blog posts with tips and ideas are readily available via a Google search. Presentation mode makes it a breeze to present your work to internally or externally and it's easy to create a professional looking document. You can also create clickable prototypes to show ...

Robust but useful

What do you like best? Many different tools for multiple use cases. What do you dislike? Sometimes difficult to maneuver, especially when creating sitemaps. Not intuitive enough. Recommendations to others considering the product: Spend a fair amount of time looking at all the features and figure out what you need. Many features and tools get buried. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? I've found Omnigraffle to be really useful for ...

An App Full of Promises - Mostly Kept

What do you like best? Omnigraffle has been around a very long time as far as software goes. It's stable, usable, powerful, and backed by a stable company who won't disappear any time soon. It's like the swiss-army-knife of UX tools. It has a HUGE user-base, and lots of templates and stencils (both paid and free) available. What do you dislike? Because it's like a jack-of-all-trades, master-of-none, Omnigraffle doesn't really excel at any of its given feature sets. "Oh cool - an ...

Short Lived

What do you like best? Was able to go in there and create very simple charts. What do you dislike? It seemed there was a lot of tools to use. But I just went in and did what I needed to finish up the few diagrams I needed. The amount of tools seemed a bit intimidating in learning so did not explore it's full capacity. This was several years back so it is possible the interface looks easier to navigate. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? ...

Great Documentation Tool, Does Have it's Quirks...

What do you like best? Omnigraffle is a great tool for creating documentation, flow charts, and box/arrow diagrams. It has a variety of tools that are geared towards that usage, and they seem to do the job well. What do you dislike? The program has quite a bit of quirks and bugs that make regular usage rather frustrating. Strange workflows and counter intuitive design seem to bog down the program and make it somewhat frustrating to use, however. Additionally, it doesn't seem to play ...
