"My main modeling tool"

What do you like best about Modo? Very direct, organic, instinctive modeling feeling. It's like my extended hands. I can feel confidence like "I can model any complex organic shape" with this tool. This is also good at hard surface modeling, we can control complicated shapes with less control points because of "edge weight" tool. You can manage your sub-surface model super clean with it. What do you dislike about Modo? Only an issue is this tool doesn't have "pivot point" system. We can ...

"Advanced Modelling and Animation for Architecture"

What do you like best about Modo? For architecture, Modo offers the ability to model more freely than typical CAD tools like Rhino, Sketchup, and Revit. The ability to visualize the design quickly and export physics based animations can be very useful in particular applications. What do you dislike about Modo? For architecture workflows, Modo can be too freeform. This can be great for "sketching" in 3D, but eventually the project needs to be more technically accurate. What problems is Modo ...

"Fascinating experience with a well designed 3D Modelling app"

What do you like best about Modo? Working with Modo is a fascinating experience. First of all, the UX and UI are very well design. The aspects of clearness and well conceived designed app makes the usability of Modo one of the best in terms of 3D modelling software. Moreover, Modo highlights the tools and the actions that you are developing, making really hard to make mistakes on the work flow. What do you dislike about Modo? One of the facts that sometimes confuse me is the position of the ...

"MODO is the 3D software for the future"

What do you like best about Modo? MODO can compete with major packages and is very future-oriented. The latest version aims for better VR integration which is the exact market we're involved in. Aside from that I very much like the fact that Luxology (the company name before TheFoundry bought it) started with nexus - a digital software framework - before creating modo. This makes for a very solid and fluid foundation from a users perspective and it allows the developers to integrate tools ...

"I use Modo for packaging design visualisation."

What do you like best about Modo? Modo has a similar feel to Photoshop in the way you can layer up textures to create a final outcome. You can mask and paint on a surface. The UI is very user friendly, you can set it to how you like it. Great modelling tools including the amazing Mesh Fusion. What do you dislike about Modo? The way it handles type. It would be great if you could use any font and bevel and extrude in any direction, add effects and keep the font live. Cinema 4D seems a lot ...

"3D Modelling - Graphic Desiner experience"

What do you like best about Modo? What I liked best of Modo was the chance to switch from the poligonal modality to the subD one, that makes modelling really much simple than in Cinema 4D. What do you dislike about Modo? As for my experience, it isn't a really well-known 3D modelling software in agencies and companies. In fact for the kind of things I am required to do (most of all simple static rendering of packagings or exhibition stands) they usually prefer to purchase and install other ...

"MODO Rocks!"

What do you like best about Modo? What I love about MODO is your simple way to do most things. I'm not a expert in 3D modeling but with MODO my work flows very well. What do you dislike about Modo? I really don't like when the software start to slow things down, as viewport navigation and I dont' like when it crashes, obviouslly. It happens a lot Recommendations to others considering Modo: Very fast learning and clean renders if you know how to setup. What problems is Modo solving and how ...
